    If you take a starter from a neg ground truck and put it in a +ground truck,using the same connections as the starter you`re replacing,will it spin backwards?

    I need to replace the batt to solenoid and solenoid to starter cables. Is 2/0 a suitable gauge? I`m running 2 pairs of 6 volt batteries to a 12 V starter,no S/P switch. Thank You .

    This fuel line fitting has a cable-operated shutoff valve.The lever on it has to end up more or less in line w/ the cable that pulls it when the fitting is fully tight.I thought if it`s way off,I could use the tape to adjust it to where it should be when tight.

    When replacing the fuel line fitting to the injection pump....good insurance or not necessary?Or a bad idea?

    I think I`ve heard that the earlier B grille shells were more of a PITA to remove than later ones.

    I`m thinking of using an air jack,an inflatable cushion that off-roaders use to jack trucks stuck in muddy ruts.I could sit it on top of the tire and pump it up til there`s no drop when the bolts are removed.Then get help to remove,if needed.

    I want to remove the outer and inner fender as a unit,was wondering how heavy this will be,and if anyone has done this without a helper. Thanks.

    I guess polishing journals is more involved than mounting the crank in a lathe and hitting them with emery paper?

    Is there a way to trace the ownership trail of a vehicle through some sort of DMV database.I guess it would have to encompass all states.Sounds improbable,but it seems like almost any historic records/trivia can be found online if you know how to dig.

    I got my info packet from the Mack museum yesterday.My 1961 B61 was originally sold to Leviton Mfg. in Brooklyn. Does that ring a bell to anyone?
