  5. If you take a starter from a neg ground truck and put it in a +ground truck,using the same connections as the starter you`re replacing,will it spin backwards?

  7. I need to replace the batt to solenoid and solenoid to starter cables. Is 2/0 a suitable gauge? I`m running 2 pairs of 6 volt batteries to a 12 V starter,no S/P switch. Thank You .
  8. This fuel line fitting has a cable-operated shutoff valve.The lever on it has to end up more or less in line w/ the cable that pulls it when the fitting is fully tight.I thought if it`s way off,I could use the tape to adjust it to where it should be when tight.
  9. When replacing the fuel line fitting to the injection pump....good insurance or not necessary?Or a bad idea?
  10. I think I`ve heard that the earlier B grille shells were more of a PITA to remove than later ones.
  11. I`m thinking of using an air jack,an inflatable cushion that off-roaders use to jack trucks stuck in muddy ruts.I could sit it on top of the tire and pump it up til there`s no drop when the bolts are removed.Then get help to remove,if needed.
  12. I want to remove the outer and inner fender as a unit,was wondering how heavy this will be,and if anyone has done this without a helper. Thanks.

  15. Is there a way to trace the ownership trail of a vehicle through some sort of DMV database.I guess it would have to encompass all states.Sounds improbable,but it seems like almost any historic records/trivia can be found online if you know how to dig.

  18. So if you didn`t order the heater,did you not have defrost? You`d think a defroster would have been a legal requirement.
