  1. There is a regulator, here is some info that might help you. https://www.mid-americaclutch.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mack-Truck-SB313005-Air-Operated-Clutch-Assist-Adjustment-Troubleshooting.pdf
  2. Interesting, I’m in PA so not too far. Looks like a good beer drinking time. Have you ever been to one?
  3. I know, I believe these are put on in Canada…
  4. I wonder why they wouldn’t go ahead and use them on the intake side as well? As they claim it also helps with “valve clatter”
  5. Apparently if they are dropped they are trash regardless. That’s what Mack says anyways…I’m sure he knows this.
  6. I had a strong feeling i was relaying information you already knew haha. Maybe someday I will be able to help you out…
  7. I’m curious if it has anything to do with oil pressure. I found this… https://www.scribd.com/document/248309871/Power-Leash it has some good info towards the bottom. Someone with more knowledge then me on this should be able to get you in the right direction soon.
  8. I’m assuming this with the switch in both positions?
  9. https://www.bigmacktrucks.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=96999
  10. Pushrods with the ceramic are spring loaded on exhaust side correct? To keep consistent pressure on the cam with the brake bump? I believe they need to be changed to standard tubes and so do the rocker arms, something to do with oil galleries I think. I could be completely wrong.
  11. I was gonna say, most likely you have some bulbs out in the dash. Between vibration and age it’s a good chance.
  12. That’s a circuit breaker, you can test it with a volt meter or switch it with a known good one and see if that fixes it.
  13. What seems to be the issue with getting it in? Hardest part is getting old one out.
  14. Eaton and few others make a legit two piece. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184481075680?chn=ps&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-vSOQSgqMAy4YaznA7KONj-&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=184481075680&targetid=1264870805024&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9007510&poi=&campaignid=10454522054&mkgroupid=125880183801&rlsatarget=pla-1264870805024&abcId=2146002&merchantid=113681886&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIntXZy_Km8QIVC_rICh169g6REAQYDiABEgL81fD_BwE
  15. Does the truck smoke more then usual? Good sign there is a boost leak. I’m not sure if the spedo sensor could have anything to do with it, like fuel delivery? Someone with alot more knowledge then me will be able to help you with that issue. What work did you have done to the truck?
  16. The spedo sensor is on the back of the trans between the yoke and the aux case. It’s most likely a black plastic thread in type and has a jam nut. For the down shifting try braking a little (like 5mph) and then a quick blip of the throttle and shift into gear. Down shifting takes time and practice. One day it will just happen.
  17. Ok I will do that for sure. We have plenty of guys that like to push the pedal to the floor rolling down the road. Somehow the clutch brake tabs haven’t broken yet. Not sure how. I did grease both sides of the brake too.
  18. Awesome information, thanks again you guys. I have heard so many different ways of doing this. I am going to give your way a shot sounds good to me! I’ll let you know how I make out with it. 🤞🏻👍🏻
  19. Thanks a lot! I just wanted to ask before getting to far into it. Just got the flywheel back from machine shop. Trans is rebuilt and new clutch is ready to go in. We are doing away with the hose (Vogel system) as it wasn’t working properly and the hose was also cut. The new bearing has 3 grease fittings on it. I was also curious how to measure the gap between release fork wear pads and bearing. I have some “tools” for it but it seems to be very difficult with the Mack’s fork being “upside down”.
  20. Also how are you guys measuring release bearing yoke gap with the release yoke upside down? The 1/8th measurement.
  21. Hi, I didn’t take notice to the bearing orientation when the clutch was removed. First time doing a clutch on one of these and couldn’t find info on it. To save me time tomorrow and looking at another truck I was curious if someone could guide me in the right direction. Does the round side face down or the flat side? As usual all your help is greatly appreciated.
