It actually bothers me quite a bit how these guys treat these trucks. A lot of times I tell myself “nope I’m not f’in with it” then next thing you know it’s got a full detail. Now I have learned to just let it go….

There’s tune company’s out there for that, Mack might be able to set you up with a software update for the same hp/Allison series/Ai engine.

Also keep in mind just because a cab is dirty doesn’t mean it wasn’t serviced meticulously. I have plenty of trucks at work that I think are over serviced but the cabs are shit box’s. I’m a very particular person and I try to keep alot clean even the cabs but I gave up. Bottom line is it isn’t the mechanics job to keep the cosmetics up to par.

Yup and overheating could be a lot of simple things too. So saying it needs an engine is a little aggressive. I think for the price they are asking is beyond fair especially that it’s MH and a E9!

It’s just a CAC in the cab. I wouldn’t say it needs an engine. All It says is engine overheats and it’s sucking the large air filter tube flat. Pry just needs a new one as they are rubber.

He’s getting a new EECU, Turbo, Manifold, and harness. I’d imagine he’s doing a delete on the egr as well. I believe the fan is different on those if we want to talk about differences

That should work, if all works when done you would basically have an E-tech. You already have the cam that the Ai guys like to use to remove the in cylinder egr bump.

Don’t have fb or any of that garbage either. I’m 33….But for something that is a free service and can get your name out there with a simple search on google or duck duck go why not? All these types of platforms are the way of the world like it or not. Essentially this website is no different.

Yup it’s all too common with that shit anymore. No wonder nothing gets done like it used to. I actually like it when I forget my phone or just don’t have service for days when I’m in the mountains. It takes time to get used to, typically only about 30 min for me haha.

Also to add that if you do have a fb and people just search for it, it will come up on their search. You can do the cards and let people know but also get some kind of internet advertising. You could just put up a fb page for your business and list counter boring service. If that’s in there then it will come up when peoples search for it.

Once you get to learn them they arnt to bad and easy to fix. Usually “common issues” only problem with them is you damn near have to take the cab off to do anything.

Problem with the 6.0s is there is soo much that it could be for different symptoms. Kind of like an MP…they arnt too bad of engines actually. I’m not a fan of HEUI though.
