  1. Joey that’s awesome! I love new tools haha. Well On your way to pretty much being able to do everything. Funny most people just see that as a cabinet with “junk” little do they know how much money is there!
  2. Yup, didn’t make it all the way through the CAC. Took a lot of rinsing though. Haha. This is why you let your engine idle after running it hard and let the oil cool down. The shaft was blued and just had enough.
  3. So a while back I had made a thread on this and it turned out pretty good. A lot of you will remember since you had posted some really good stories/pictures. Sadly it somehow went missing and I had a few people ask me what happened to it. So I’m gonna start it again. Basically anything goes. Post pics of trucks, engine builds, tools, toolboxes, your shop or where you work, carnage pics of parts or whatever, toys, boats, guns, jobs your working on, etc! Tell stories of engines blowing up, diagnostic stories, etc. You get the point, just like a bunch of guys talking In the shop. Most of you will remember the old one. Once it gets going it will figure itself out. Great chance for people to show off a little and post where it doesn’t fit other categories. If you had posted pics/stories in the past and remember could you please post again?? Thanks.
  4. Should be a relay/relays. I’m not sure with out looking. Did you check them?
  5. That connector V is talking about is on top of the bell housing. You may be able to sneak your hand up there. If not take the passenger side floor out.
  6. Wires connected at the head? Do you have power there?
  7. I wouldn’t trust it either…i feel a weld like this should be x ray certified haha. Did you guys just get this truck? Someone make a quick repair and unload it?
  8. I don’t think they are pulling hubs on federal inspection and I know PA doesn’t require it for state inspection. So hard to say what the answer is. However it is apparently ok to make repairs like this and places like axle surgeon will come out and repair them.
  9. That’s a first!
  10. Also for the running “ok” and idle surge have someone check the fuel pressure. Was common for the etechs to have the plastic gear in the fuel pump strip and spin on the shaft. Also fuel pressure regulator like Joey said.
  11. I would replace the injector line and nozzle. I’m sure he will. Seems to know what’s up.
  12. Engine position sensor is a cam sensor, Engine speed sensor is at the flywheel housing, and vehicle speed sensor is at a tone ring on the output shaft of the trans.
  13. I was gonna say make sure the injector line/nozzle was installed and torqued correctly. But looks like you guys got right to it. Sucks a simple mistake can cost a lot of money and work.
  14. Yea sounds like a plan. Just weird since leakdown was good and compression. Push tubes are good?
  15. Why did you change all those parts? This started after the install?
  16. Are you ccrs or just regular etech? There’s a lot of guys that have done bigger injectors, turbo, and different software files for theirs on here. Plenty of threads on this topic. A lot of them MackPro has answered already.
  17. Sorry for some reason I was thinking it was an ASET haha. Good info anyway!
  18. Was there any option out there to delete the vgt with a fixed turbo and delete egr and re program?
  19. Sorry I forgot the n.
  20. Please give a little more info if you would like some more help with these codes.
  21. Only thing I can suggest is take belt off and spin Pulleys by hand and see how they feel/sound. At that point just put a belt on it. Then you can either have it fixed or eliminate that part of it.
  22. Carrier bearing
  23. Odd it’s only under load.
  24. Do have any odd accessories mounted on the engine that the belt runs off of? Central hydraulics? Like the ones with a driveshaft coming off the crank.
