  1. I forgot to ask is it a 5 speed or multi speed
  2. Take a wire brush to the top of the block right in front of the 2 bolts on the fuel pump it will probably have ENDT675 stamped in the engine block.
  3. Injector cups ???, how many miles are on it.
  4. It ought to have a pretty good road speed with 3.65 gears. What are the engine and transmission specs on the truck.
  5. The ones I did I ran a hone in the block to clean up then I put them in the freezer overnight then dipped the bottom 2" of the liner in diesel fuel and they went in 2/3s then a block of wood and a hammer the rest of the way
  6. Does anyone have an exhaust bracket that bolts on the frame it's about 3" square tubing and is about even with the edge of the cab for a 1988 R model that they will part with. THANKS
  7. Ok, I thought it did but just wanted to make sure since there's no place to install an O ring. Thanks you guys are alot of help.
  8. I'm working on an 88 e6 4 valve, is there supposed to be an O ring in between the rocker shaft and head. When I took it apart it didn't have one but if I remember right the older 237s and 300s had them, just wandering if they stopped putting them in the newer e6 4 valve
  9. Nice looking truck, most trucks have right side single exhaust, every once in a while I see one with a driver side single exhaust. I wander if it had dual exhaust one time or another.
  10. Your right on fjh. About the V8s and the E6,E7. Well said.
  11. I have a 24" bunk on my B model but can't figure out how to post pictures on here.
  12. Ok, I thought they were D models but didn't know they had numbers after the D.
  13. Ok, they weren't a cabover were they? The one's that the cab jacks straight up like the green one Doug Maney has.
  14. Are you sure you don't need a B42 emblem, don't think I have ever seen a D42. Kevin All, Mike Harbison or Matt Phaff might have some.
  15. I cut down an R model clutch pedal bracket to use the 4 studs and used the clutch cable bracket on the outside, heated the pedal to bend it up to have clearance on the floor then bolted a little bracket from the bottom of the dash to the bracket to keep the bracket from moving. I have done 2 and they work great.
  16. I like the older western Cruiseliner the best the ones with the western interior. were those in the 80s built in Allentown or Hayward, California.
  17. If it was in Iowa for a while there's a good chance that Mike Harbison might know something about it, he's on here, he's a helluva nice guy and knows his Mack trucks like the back of his hand. When he sees this he will chime in.
  18. Don't know if this is the right place for this or not. Does anyone have a Econodyne or Maxidyne emblem they would sell. Thanks
  19. I was thinking maybe look at the timing on the injection pump tag I think a 285-300 is 22 degrees, 237 I was thinking it was 16 degrees. Someone on here might be able to tell you.
  20. Thanks for advice, can you use new lifters with an old cam if the cam is good. Another question what RPM is overspeeding, I have seen engines 2300 to 2400. Just wandering what is a safe maximum RPM.
  21. I hope your around a long time too, I read your post regularly and your full of knowledge on Mack Trucks is priceless. I always look forward reading what's up with the Mack engines. Don't really care about any other brand. Stay safe. Ron
  22. Thanks guys, I'm checking on the price difference between Mack parts and PAI. I will probably go with PAI. I still have to pull the pan to see if it's standard. I'm going to look the cam over real good even though I didn't have any metal in it. I gonna hate it when the old Mack mechanic's and Mack parts guys are gone. I'm almost 65 years old so I guess I won't have to worry about that. Just have a couple of old trucks to take to truck shows. Thanks again.
