  1. It's cold here in Central N.C. 19 degrees right now (5:30) supposed to be around 10 degrees tonight.. the wind is up too 40 mph.. for two nights in a row, our secondary power lines on my street burned up. It was a beautiful display of small fire balls and dripping melted wire, and small explosions.. My internet is out, so the cell phone is getting a workout.. our house still has power, but next door and down the street is out.. I also have a 'paid' 5 day weekend, so I'm just going to chill out, and do some small repairs around the house.. Jojo
  2. Check circuit breaker #70, it is Bunk HVAC,. #72 is also an HVAC circuit breaker,, fuse 25 is the cab HVAC.. these are in the top panel..
  3. The Biden Klan, is trying hard to speed up the Jan. 6 hearings, so they can use the 14th Amendment to keep Donald Trump from running in 2024.. I wonder what lies they will come up with to ensure he can't run again... ??
  4. There is a wire harness that curls over the frame under the cab on the left side.. I have replaced/repaired them before. PTO issues is one of the symptoms.. they rub through and short out.. jojo
  5. In the cab. Right side fuse panel.
  6. If it were me I would check all the grounds.. they are the gray wires through out the harness'. under the top dash panel you can see some grounds, above the throttle pedal is some, and outside on the fire wall, is a pass through, and there is where i have found loose wires.. jojo
  7. the ground wire... All the grounds are GRAY..
  8. ok.. I'm sorry that I do not have the answer... I have the book on them, but am not able to get the info right now.. Hopefully someone can post a spec sheet.. Once again, Im sorry I cant help right now,,, Jojo
  9. I would like to add something.. I dont know what years had this style, but, the last set I repaired for this same reason, (2005 CXN) The centering pin was actually made into the Z-Spring. You can knock them out and machine your own replacement pins, but the one that I repaired, 2 of the Z-Springs had spider cracks around the pin's, and because I was replacing all 4, the owner had me buy all 4 Z-Springs.. So if your Z-Springs are healthy, you can make your own centering 'Mushrooms' ..also, the top block on the rear axle may be worn where the mushroom goes.. The front 'X' may not have the spacer block. also take a good look at the pin that is made into the top of banjo housing. They are round, but end up looking like a 'D'.. weld it up, and grind it back in shape.. Jojo
  10. here are 2 RD vin.'s . RD 690 S/ 023858.... RD 690 S/ 023859.. '96 model year.. I took care of these 2 trucks for 8 years.. Good luck ,,, Jojo MERRY KWANZAHANAMAS... 🍻
  11. what is the 3rd member? do you mean the carrier or rear gear assembly? can you post the year and models of both trucks? a lot of these will fit other models, but the newer carriers and banjo housings have an extra bolt inside the top reduction housing.. ( not a big deal) and of course,,,,, we all love pictures..
  12. Do you have an M-Drive tranny or Eaton Auto Shift, or I-Shift?? you also called it a CXU 630.. did you mean 613?
  13. is one a 310 and the other a 310M ? (Multi speed reverse)
  14. I was curious if the stroke of the pump was the same. Where it wouldn't be too long and bind, or too short, reducing the efficiency.. Therefore,. FJH makes sense.. and I'm really just babbling.. :). Jojo
  15. But Cascade has "Sheeting action, for drops that Spot".
  16. Boing!!!!!! That's the cure for E.D.
  17. FJH.. your right about a lot, especially my not sleeping at night, waiting for the engine to crap out again.. The only backing I have is experience, and experience tells me to STAY AWAY!!!! :).
  18. The tool that removes them has a similar action to a tail pipe expander, with knurling on the out side to grab the inside of the cup.
  19. Try .... Tillmantools.com and Monacotools.com and Freedomracing.com... I buy E-7/ E-Tech tools from them.. jojo
  20. I agree with you Mark.. The last Mack Dealership I worked at would refuse ANY deleted truck.. As far as the tooling, I made some comments on that early on.. Myself, I have only done about a dozen cup job's.. I saw guys do them in a few hours, but they did not use the bore protectors for the cleaning process, and skipped a couple other cleaning procedures like blowing out the journals. and they also did not run the valves after re-setting the rocker shaft. when I did them, I took twice as long to get them done, and they didnt come back for re-work.. (Proud to say it)... I stress the importance of having the section in the book to do the job, as well the tools... I WILL NOT be buying the tools to do these repairs in my shop.. I will stick with E-6 -- Aset's.. jojo
  21. At least you didnt tell him to pull the cam instead of the rocker shaft..
  22. I like the idea of a coolant flush.. an old timer taught me years ago to use Cascade.. It was for oil, however,. It cleans.. Jojo
  23. Onyx,, Thank you for noticing my mistake.. I edited my post for any future reference.. Jojo
  24. yeah i meant rocker shaft... sorry.. i got lost for a second...
