  1. My goodness that’s nice! It also looks like the Backdrop has enough clearance, from what I can see? Beautiful,,, Congratulations on a Milestone! Thanks for sharing the great pictures.
  2. A little more progress today, got all the dash and interior ready for some light brown ( except for door panels, not ready yet) .
  3. Yes, good point. Most of the piping is pretty much measure and cut after you get your stacks mounted.
  4. The R is going to be the same as a Superliner, and most Superliners had twin stacks, if you found a parts truck you could get all your stack mounts, the Y pipe can be bought new, most all pipe sizes are 5 inch ( if it’s 4 off the turbo I would step it up to 5 before the Y ) . We have 5 Superliners so if you need any measurements let me know,, also what engine is your R ?
  5. It’s going to be Absolutely Beautiful! Looks like smooth sailing with the right equipment! Will be waiting on Sunday evening pictures!
  6. Yes that forklift attachment is very handy, we use it often, The pool Noddles saved the day! Thank you, starting to make progress.
  7. I finally got a few hours to work on the cab on a nice day, I painted the bottom of the cab and the firewall red ( same as the frame) because when Coca Cola Painted it there colors in 1951 all this and under the hood and fenders were still the factory red, I’m going to get it as close to how it was as possible.
  8. Looking Great, very detailed! Exhaust will work just fine !
  9. Yes, Waynesville is much closer for me also,, and a great show. It will probably come down to my Grandson’s decision, since I already told him about the Trains . Hoping for good weather at both shows.
  10. Truck Show at the North Carolina Transportation Museum coming up this Saturday, if anyone is near central NC drop by , it’s always nice!
  11. Looking really good, I think you will be good on clearance, I looks like the same angle I had mine when I set the cab to make sure it would clear. I haven’t worked on mine in about 2 weeks. Hopefully I can get some time this week. I Can’t wait to hear the Backdrop in a pull , it’s been a long since I have heard one.
  12. Looking Great! I’m in the same situation, I tore the LJ apart in 1996 . Hopefully you will have good weather for running your air & hyd lines, It’s coming together!
  13. Thank You! It looks pretty dang close to what I have already painted my fuel tank, we waxed some of the Yellow under the emblems , then used the code picture to come up with the color, The next time I go to the paint store I’ll give them the number on your chart , just to see if it will crossover. Thanks Again!
  14. I have not, good idea. I will reach out to them and ask . I have sanded and chipped away at the old paint until I think I can tape it up and get pretty close to what was sprayed over the solid red in 1951 . But it would be nice to find some old pictures of Coke trucks in the early 50s . Thanks , making progress.
  15. Thank You! Yes that’s my hope also! We have been Messing with trucks for Over 100 years , ( My Great Great Grandfather,Far left. 1922) I’ll try to keep him interested!
  16. Yes the construction around here is terrible on the Interstates ! As for the Hennis C , it needs pulled out of the shed and wash about a 1/4 of dust off it .
  17. Oh Yes,, He’s been right in the middle of wanting to help me since I pulled this thing out of the shed 2 years ago and started working on it again.
  18. Yes it seems like this time of the year everybody is having something on a Saturday, it’s hard to make all of them, I’m with you, I’ll probably go to the NC Museum Show , I have a bunch of old Hennis Pictures from my Dad I’m going to try to copy and take to the show.
  19. The North Carolina Transportation Museum will have a new addition in a few weeks, they already have a few Trucks & Trailers from NC trucking companies. Just thought I would post this if anyone is interested it will be at their Truck show next month.
