  3. My Flintstone has super singles on it, it seems to be fine, i would think rim off set may play a big part in king pin problems. will run them again when i get it on the road. regards Grant

  5. do you have a tie rod part number? the engineer next to us fully rebuilds tie rods, they specialise in this and is the only place i know of Australia wide that is legally allowed to refurbish tie rods. Grant
  6. That better not be your back alley your refering too???
  7. People cut the gutters off cars down here for a more smoother finish, they weld the roof on where the gutter started, it looks wrong/strange/funny and makes roof weeker, and you get dripped on. Grant
  8. so does this mean you have a set of rs700l emblems to get rid of? regards Grant
  9. Hello, it must have been a heavy duty version? as the chassis is deeper than the R model i have, the R model i pulled the cab off and the other R that i wrecked had a much smaller chassis, the left and right side front spring mounts are the same, i am using all the suspension out of it as i must assume it would be higher rated than the R600 stuff? the front axle is a 532 i just picked up power steering off a valueliner for it, so i wont have to turn the wheel a million times to turn her, specially needed when backing the double roadtrain up to that third trailer. regards Grant
  10. Hello, thanks for the pics, thats similar to what i had in mind, i think i will be stuck usinfg a kenworth 60inch bunk with walk through, so doing te cab an bunk air ride together will be a good thing.
  11. Hello, i am still looking for a 60inch low line bunk, has anyone ever had a go at making the bunk and cab move together off air bags mounted at the rear of the bunk like the newer trucks? so cab and bunk are as one. regards Grant
  12. Hi all, I just bought another cab, this one has no rust at all. it has come off a 1989 valueliner, they are scrapping the truck because it dropped an engine and has done a million kays and pretty much worn out. they are now using it as a parts truck.
  13. Hello, no worries, am in WA. mirror question for the others, if the bubble mirrors are correct for this truck, then how come the film Convoy was made in 1977 and it had the mirrors with the dog on it? i would have thought the bubble mirrors would have gone out the window in 173 when the cab was lengthened? regards Grant

  19. Hi, glad everyone can help. i am located in Perth Western Australia at the moment, one day maybe i may succeed in living there if my girlfriend gets it together, then i will bring my old mack over and set up a triple road train over there, the police will have a big stress as when we have them set up there 173feet long but would make a great display at a truck show ) check out my album and you will see how much rust i have to fix, but it getting there....I think? Grant
  20. Hi, yep, its getting there slowly, have been busy on the Tumbler, so have not done much to it but order rust sections when i have the money. plenty more rust sections to buy yet. Grant
