  1. The Eaton 18speed auto with clutch pedal is horrible, it never knows what gear it should have, the Volvo auto is not to bad, it just needs more gears. Grant
  2. the snake would probly only head up here to get the kangaroo you hit earlier!
  3. No, I plated the right side, your looking at the wrong side. its going to end up more like a hot rod than a truck! no holes in firewall, wiring hidden, all air lines relocated neatly, no pedal valve under truck, Dakota digital dash, 16 litres of V8, 18 spd gearbox, twin exhaust, twin air cleaners, 60inch bunk and painted in two pak black with beige interior. with TV and DVD system with surround sound!

  5. Hi, bring it on but um how long are your triples over there? ours are 173feet long as we haul 3x 45 foot trailers and 264000 lbs, my album has a few pics in it, the road houses are 310miles apart with nothing in between and depending where you go there is is 600 miles between 24hour road houses all the others are shut. temp is around 120" with the occaisonal flash road fluds of 3 to 5 feet high!
  6. no govtm package, only the promise that you are most likely to see/hit a snake, cow, horse, sheep, kangaroo, camel, rabbit, dingo, fox, goat, wombat, lizared nearly every trip. some of our roads are pretty narrow i dont think you would want to put your hand out there to adjust your mirror while another triple is coming! Grant

I have a SW model 29 44 magnum in storage in Chicago, along with my red coupe and I have a WW1 US Army issue Colt 45 here that the police just dont like! its very annoying. they say we live in a free country! 15. The C92 is the series i do believe, thats a low ratio, it must rev hard. i have 5.32 and 5.13 diffs sitting there and there still going to be to low. i am at the unit tomorrow, is your truck close to unit? i need to see how good or bad the hood line is where it meets up with the cab. regards Grant

  20. Hello, am still in sydney, I went up to Auski, got back on the friday and left for sydney that nite, got here on monday the 26th and have been here waiting for a backload ever since. go see Rod at Soltogio brothers, there just off Armadale road near freeway, he has a set of Bud Hubs there to convert, I bought a set off him last year, I know he has another set. I am running a ENDT 866 with an 18spd double over road ranger not many R700s over our way. regards Grant
  21. Hello, no worrys, looking forward to the call. i am turning the flintstone R600 into a R700, using the diffs and motor and front axle out of the F model I had, I take it you saw the flinty tucked away around the side of the panel beaters? the cab I have outside is now for parts as I bought a Valueliner cab for 3000 that had no rust in it, i couldnt repair that other one that cheap. i am building an Australian version of the Ducks truck from convoy with twin stacks and aircleaners. regards Grant
  22. I see, thats where you get it from. it gets a little confusing thats all, as a tractor plows fields down here and a prime mover is what pulls trailers. It tool me ages to get used to calling them tractors when I lived there, I was down in Naperville with the Arnold brothers. will be back there soon. regards Grant
  23. if you were in australia i would say for pulling dollies! for road train work. to move your dollie from one trailer to the next or to drag a dollie and trailer around to where ever you need it. my big question for you guys is why do you call the thing a tractor? dont you use tractors for plowing fields????? regards Grant
  24. Hello, no it had the ram assisted steering, still have the ram etc, the full power steering is better tho, 6 turns lock to lock rather than a million! the 6 turns will be much better for chasing that second trailer to hook up the third! regards Grant
