A mate of mine had a similar experience, but with radiator hoses popping off on his KW T90??? Anyway with the higher horsepower jobbies that are hauling road trains etc the radiator "sort of hangs off the front of the motor" his description This for heavy duty type of trucks and keeps things better aligned when every thing is twisting etc under load The bolts were broken or maybe fallen out, but I'm pretty sure he told me the bolts were busted This allowed enough misalignment under load for hoses to slowly work off the pipes A picture of said truck Dunno if this of any help, but it makes for a yarn Happy days Paul

Pretty sure it will be a side valve motor Get a cheap fuel pressure gauge like this 20 bucks Australian, so $1.95 US A tee, a foot of rubber fuel line and maybe a few hose clamps 50 bucks and you will find some definite answers with out any guessing Paul

Welcome 6 wheeler So I don't think you have a Maxidyne as they were diesel Photos probably have to many pixels, try emailing them to yourself, this reduces their size quite a bit Yes fuel blockage is most likely Try putting a pressure gauge on the fuel line before the carby and this will tell you if the problem is the fuel pump or the carby is blocked If the fuel pressure drops of its the pump, if it doesn't it's the carby Paul

Well I have been mulling this over Ethanol fuel is what it is, Im as tight as a fishes ass so I buy the cheapest fuel I can and never have any issues And it is E10 Aluminium fuel tanks Im pretty sure used on light planes, drag cars and so on As such I think it will be fine with petrol So Im thinking if you want reliability that just starts and runs and gives the best economy Electronic throttle body fuel injection, holly and the like make complete systems that include a new electronic dizzy Doing this should make it as reliable as a modern car and I think the cost wont be huge Apart from that, carry on, it is interesting learning Paul
