  1. I never owned one.....I just have the manual, 'cause you never know when you'll need an owners manual for an 83 Yugo!
  2. I have an owner's manual for an 83 Yugo- will that help?
  3. Pshhhhhhh. Big Deal. I think the Harley-powered half-track scooter that we made for you for the next Mudcungie should have been in that calendar!!! That was truly an alcohol-inspired, bubble gum-duct tape-bailing wire feat of assembly engineering masterpiece and deserves to be in the nearest dumpster Snap-On calendar!!!
  4. WTF? Why wasn't I notified?
  5. I have seen "& Daughter" on the side of contractors trucks before. Go for it!!!!
  6. I'll be 41 this coming November. After I got out of high school, I got in at JEVIC where I worked in the operations department (Go-Fer, Laborer, sweep the docks, stuff like that....) then the head of the Fuel Dept had me move in there to do fuel decals on the road and local tractors that came in and out of the Delanco, NJ terminal.....Then I got an open spot as an apprentice in the Fleet Maintenance Dept.......I was in that spot for about 2 years, when I finally figured out that I didn't want to turn wrenches professionally, my heart was set on being a career firefighter. So I jumped ship and became a Federal FF in 1995. Did that until 2005 when I had to get out due to health issues. I had my current job lined up before I pulled out of the Gubmint FD. Moral of the story though is since I got out of high school, I have only had three jobs (not counting the ones I had before high school- pumping gas, doing concrete, etc...) My old man taught me work ethic- work hard all the time every time. Arriving early is on time, and on time is late. Do your best, nothing less is acceptable. Listen to the senior guys above you- they've been there and done that and will steer you in the right direction. Large and Medium are now beginning to learn what these traits are, what they mean and how they are important- the other day they could not go and hang out with their neighbor buddies until their chores were done- and done correctly/not half-assed. I felt bad while they were bitching as their buddies were walking up the street with their towels on their shoulders going to the town pool, but I told them in the morning- "get your stuff done now and you won't have to worry later." They're learning! God as my witness I am trying Gentlemen. I'll be goddamned if these kids fall prey to the current socio-political mindset out there these days.

  8. I'll say it before anyone else does- where are the pics?
  9. Ok if thats the original body then it absolutely is NOT FDNY.
  10. I think I have seen this one before- if it is one in the same, it is an ex-FDNY rig and is only geared to do top speed 43mph +/-
  11. Nope, not even then. If I arrive at the station and I'm going to be the D/O I will start the rig, then go grab the printout, check the map for two hydrants, then go get my gear and stow it on board, then climb in and wait for everyone else. If I am on a duty night, the rig was already checked out and is warm.
  12. I don't give a horses fart if it's gasoline, diesel or propane powered....Or a lawn mower, my pickup, my antique firetruck or a locomotive.......I have been taught to start it, let it idle for a minute or two (the colder it is outside, the longer) in order to get the crankcase lube warmed up just a bit and establish and maintain the oil pressure.......And then let it rip. The only exception is any 2-stroke green leaker- start it up and floor it to the firewall. But drain the crankcase oil all out first.
  13. The only customer they have taken out a restraining order on- he cannot go within 100 yards of the building
  14. Doug when my buddies found out ES was a girl, they all asked me if I was gonna do the stereotypical cleaning of the guns when the dates come to get her. I replied "Nope. Gonna let the three big brothers have fun and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the show."
  15. Karl, the brush breakers in the Pine Barrens of NJ weren't quite as "radical" as the ones on Cape Cod. There were a few deuce and a halfs (which came from Ft Dix excess property most of the time) and they were beefed up a bit but never as heavy duty as the cape units.
  16. Looks great, but those rear wheel covers have GOT to go!!!!!!!
  17. Ray don't you owe me a steak dinner or some kinda broker's fee by now???? HA!!!!!
  18. Just wanted to say that Ray has now hauled Fire Department/Municipally owned modern equipment **OR** Privately owned antique firetrucks for FOUR people after I recommended him to them for their long distance transportation needs. Each and every one of them had nothing but good things to say about him and were very happy with his service. I highly recommend him for any truck transportation needs.
  19. They have 27 trucks between that building, the building out back, and the open courtyard in the middle. There are also a few trucks stashed at another location. That American Lafrance Pioneer with Pittsburgh on the door is a tiller and has a BIG Cummapart in it with an automatic.....And the thing flies like the wind, I have driven both ends. The old man is a Captain on Ladder 1 in Camden City, and the kid who bought the truck is destined to become a Camden County Cop or a NJ State Trooper. They are a great family and our families have been friends forever- the old man is godfather to "Small" and was also my best man in my wedding.
  20. I dated a teacher once....Picked her up when doing a Fire Prevention Program at the school she was teaching at. I liked her, whenever I did something wrong, she made me do it over again.
  21. Hey Paul, who does your wife-nurse work for? Mine works for St. Lukes VNA here in the Bethlehem/Allentown Pa. area. Nurses. I can't get the hell away from them. Mom was a nurse. Dated many throughout my firefighting/EMS career (mostly ER nurses...) first ex wife is a nurse.....Then dated a few more......Now wife number two is a nurse.....How in the hell did THAT happen??? LOL
  22. A couple of my shots of the Forsyth NO at the first "Trucktoberfest" 10/30/2010
  23. Vlad- if I did this correctly, Она была с возможностью "горячей" замены для курения
  24. Some common pervert and his sidekick, Tonto. Cruiseliner!!! Hayward F-Model wrecker If I had an RV, it would be THIS. Thank you for joining us, now back to your regularly scheduled programming. And Otherdog, feel free to photochop some of these images.
  25. Doug Maney's daughter Erica holding "Extra Small." Two beautiful young ladies. Some of the Yarnall Used Truck Lot truck collection I know that this particular F-Model has been discussed on here before, but I cannot remember the particulars. Can anyone refresh me??? Need no further comment
