  1. Right you are! Held in Worcester Sand and Gravel's pit and screening plant. With Mike Trotto's passing earlier this year future of the show at this site is not certain but we can hope his family will continue the tradition.
  2. good point-KSC is the big Iveco conventional based on any cab over components?
  3. For sure that is a concern, but as KSC has pointed out, I do believe Bill Ford is solidly in back of these guys. And I do believe I read he was not in favor of the 1998 sale of class 7 and 8 to Daimler. Also I believe Turkey for sure was on Hacketts early visitation list. Last point, as Lee Iacoccoa once said during his time at Ford...."you never forget whose name is on the building"
  4. Hopefully you are bringing the B75 in addition to the Camera!
  5. Sad-what's next here. 4 year old Diehard in my Ranger crapped out today. Took it to Sears, they ran the scan-bad cell came up 9 CCA! So they prorated at the $130 replacement cost me 100 bucks-but they will no longer be prorating on extended terms. Again, as with so many retailers I don't think its a case of "what did they do wrong" but rather a case of on line sales.
  6. EJ- Problem is, JH never snaps the driver/owner if OLDER than the truck. Figure you have about one year left.
  7. EJ -No list-sorry-we are not hi tech!
  8. Sunday Oct 15th, Fairgrounds at Lancaster-Home of the Bolton Fair Rt. 117 Lancaster I-495, Exit 27, Rt 117 West approx 3 miles. Spectator Parking, Gate 2, Show Trucks Gate 1
  9. A true salt lizard! Amazing that the paint looks as good as it does.
  10. Kevin, So do you think the new class 8 will in fact be a cab over? If so this will be new ground given the current dim view the US has for cab overs. And as they talk about a new class 7, can we assume that too will be a cab over?
  11. My bet is just bad reporting. The Chevy badged Isuzu cab over is a class 6. But the new trucks designed jointly with Navistar are in fact class 4 and 5.
  12. Note..South America. Go to the Ford Brazil website. In the F series -looks like prior generation US f-450-550 as well as the Cargo.. And of course with manual transmissions.
  13. Ford uses Cummins 4 cylinders in their So American class 4, 5 F series. Hopefully they will smarten up and recognize not everyone needs an 800lb.ft. V-8! Or not everyone wants/likes V-8's period-in class 6 and 7!
  14. Rich congrats on the sticker. That is a big milestone in this state!
  15. As he noted Maddog deserves a special "attendance award"-Ballston Spa to Worcester S and G, and back to Canajoharie!
  16. I have to say I must have missed any extreme insults to anyone - or should I say comments that could NOT be shrugged off with a .."whatever". IMO always a knowledgeable poster which is why we spend time on this site-while we hopefully are always learning.
  17. Well said.
  18. KSC- welcome back! Is WABCO the former American Wabco? ( Westinghouse?)
  19. Ah thanks guys-better eyes thanI have. Jeff Manty is the guy who gives denny Slagle the Mack pres, the tour on the TV Undercover Boss episode on Mack. great guy!
  20. Jim, Judging by the colors, is that a Manty Bros. truck?
  21. My bet is he has been traveling a lot-when you are on the world scene that can knock the hell out of you. I have a nephew who just spent almost three weeks in China, Korea and Japan. Then he gets home and is back on road for another week in US filling higher ups on what he accomplished. A lousy life in my book
  22. Thx! Never saw your response until today.
  23. Well as for the rabbit ear mirrors, if you can tolerate the lost aerodynamics from those, from a safety perspective, I think stand alone fender mount directional signals should be mandatory. Or am I the only one who thinks turn signals get lost in the headlight glare when they are included in same "pod". I've been told pedestal mounted turn signals are gone because of impact on fuel economy! Like what? .005 MPG? Friend of mine is a Ford dealer and on all his class 6/7 650/750's in the Bluediamond era he would order the pedestal turn signals which were a low cost option. Not anymore on the Avon Lake built Fords.
  24. Agree-they seem hung up on the idea everyone has to stand up in the cab to get to the "sleeper"! Well in a vocational truck, I don't need a cab wide enough to accommodate 4 fat gals! the R cab, original Ford Louisville cab for example, were perfect IMO. good visibility, enough shoulder room, and after the bump out cab back, enough leg room. Then again I'm talking "vocational".!
  25. So the Anthem IS a different cab-with a one piece windshield -just like a Volvo-this looks like a CH with a new hood
