    The government agency I drive for have all way use Allison Transmission for fleet. We have two types of transmission. One type for older models and newer type for newer type. I think the brand name on newer fluid is made by Castrol and it Transynd RD. My suggest is to Allison web site to get correct type.

    Hello to everyone, Great web page, enjoy looking at all great pictures. I am driver not a collector. In past drove International, Ford and Sterling. Basic work for a state DOT and trucks in fleet was as we call 6 wheeler. We got our first 10 wheeler and it was assign to me. It a 2014 Mack Granite with a MP 8 engine with 6 speed Allison. Dump body was made by J and J body.

    Just for information that Mack was own by PA Turnpike, that why it such low miles on vehicle. Penn DOT truck are paint yellow and PA Turnpike are paint orange. With most Penn DOT trucks are send to auction after 12 years of service.

    I work for a state government that just purchase couple 2013 Mack Granite with a Allison Transmission. Run great with out problems. For my 14 years working there we always use Allison Transmission without major issues. Fleet was class 7 trucks with Sterlings and International and class 8 with Mack and International. We haul salt, sand, blacktop, all types of stone, etc. without problems. One thing we were told on newer trucks with Allison do not pull dipstick to check fluid level. We use gear selection pad by pushing up and down arrow button at same time after it warms up it tell you if it ok or overfill or underfill.
