  1. As the topic states I finally got my ac working in my superliner (yes I use ac everyday I live in Florida) and it always leaks under the ac box in the truck. I use a towel to soak up the water. Is there any remedy to this problem?
  2. I'm currently running twin 5 inch stacks (mufflers) with 6 inch chrome stacks at the top. Been thinking about switching to 6 or 7 inch straight pipes. My exhaust of course run under the cab with 5 inch piping to 5 inch elbows. The question is do I just get 6 or 7 inch straight pipes and have them reduce to 5 inches at the elbows or scrap everything and run 6 or 7 inch pipe out from under the cab? Im not even sure if that's poss with out clearance issues. What have u guys done in the past and what looks good?
  3. For 40k you may want to add some pics.
  4. That old girl needs some work. Saving any superliner is worth it tho. Not sure if you know any salvage yards in your area but there is a nice one down here in florida in case you may want to replace some of those parts.
  5. Jerry do you still have this truck? Any idea on the mileage?
  6. Baxter, that's what I was thinking about doing eventually. I'll make a entire new left plate and cut gauge holes in and put all the switches where I want them. Thanks for the info.
  7. Baxter, does everyone just jump the one side to the other to repair it? Sure wish I had a wiring diagram....eeerrrrrrr
  8. 41chevy, the switch gets power from 2 power wires. One is currently not supplying power to the headlamp side of the switch. So I jumped the other side right now to get headlights.
  9. Ok I found that on the back of the switch there are supposed to be to power wires coming into the switch. The power wire on the side that the headlight wire is on has no power. If I jump the power from the the working power wire to the one that's not working power wire the headlights work. I'd like to find why it has no power but would rather no start tearing my entire dash apart. Any ideas why it lost power?
  10. Ok swapped dimmer switches (high beam switch) from our other superliner and still the same no lights. Any other ideas?
  11. Ok you guys are saying dimmer which is the high beam switch on the floor??
  12. So my 88 superliner the headlights wouldn't come on this morning. The flash to pass switch works and they light up but not the main switch. The switch connections look good on the back and the relay is working. Any suggestions?
  13. Haha I can't believe I but "circumstances" on my last post. I totally meant circumference. Well anyways I rotated 2 of the new ones to the rear axle on the opposite side, drove it 300 miles and wouldn't you know the problem is gone!!! So basically I'm gonna get 4 new tires and save the half worn out ones for spares!! I just want to say I have learned so much from this website and its been extremely helpful. We have 2 1988 superliners that work everyday and we couldn't be more happier! Thanks again for your help mrsmackpaul and gearhead204!!!!!
  14. Measured my new tires revs my old ones. My new ones have about 2 more inches then the old when u measure the circumstances. I'm gonna switch 2 new tires to the rear axle and see if it changes.
  15. I'm having the exact problem!!! I just replaced my tires on my front rear but not the back one. I think the power divider is trying to engage. Did u fix this problem?
  16. After searching and reviewing I thought it might also be important to mention I did recently replace 4 tires on the front rear axle and are running half worn tires on the rear axle. I'm not trying to jump to conclusions but could this be causing my problem?
  17. Only does it after driving for 20 mins at highway speeds. And only at highway speeds on a accel. If u pull over then get back on the highway it goes away for around 20 mins. I just don't get it.
