  1. We broke my 10 month old engine in my RS last week. Along with a flat tire and a disintegrated clutch. Long story and two less employees. We are in the process of installing a different motor. Problem is we don't know exactly what the motor we are installing is. It came out of a 89 super liner and runs good with no blowby and has a dynatard. But someone stole the engine tag so I don't know horsepower or other pertinent info. It is a 2 valve with tip turbine. Any ideas how to tell what I have?
  2. Superdog, what are the specs on the rears of that rs? I'm looking for another RS to build and run.
  3. Need a fuel tank, steps, and straps for my 78 RS686lst. had a strap break and drop the tank on the cross over and crack the tank.
  4. I had that motor in my 90 ch. There is a governor on it. If I remember right your peak hp is at 1750 rpm. You can remove the governor, but the peak hp will remain the same. Search the site for em6300l. There is some info on it.
  5. Superdog, how heavy a load can you haul on that?
  6. Let me know storkmack. The are taking up space in my shop. I wanted to do the same thing with a 8ll or mack 12 speed but don't have the time. And my RS with the 6 speed is getting better millage than my new truck.

  8. Superdog. Got a use for a set of 4.42s? Was going to trade to Drew till the shut him down.
  9. Try your hand brake or Johnny bar. I've grabbed mine accidentally and didn't know it
  10. That has got to be the smallest muffler ever...on a mack.
  11. Any good cylinder shop should be able to custom build you one. My local shop built me as cylinder for my bobcat excavator from cylinders he had laying around. It cost me $400 andvonly took a week. Bobcat wanted $1490 and wad backorder 4 months. Get me dimensions and I can see what it would take. Shipping as shouldn't be that bad.
  12. Usually super singles refers to the back, or trailer tire where dials are typically used. That black B concrete . Is sexy!
  13. What is the ATR box? Would it work on my mack 6 speed? I've often thought of putting an Allison in the RS but I as till wouldn't have an overdrive.
  14. Can't say I ever saw a B with floats on front. Makes me want one.
  15. Must be peterbilt mating season. Rolled on her back. Says right on the side she's in heet.
  16. Sliding with 20k on fronts and a steerable... That sucks!
  17. Definitely need to fine tune that lift axle. You should have no problem getting 18 to 20 on that steer. That is the worst feeling sliding the steers hoping you can catch and make the turn. I never ditched it, but soiled myself more than once with a 345b on.
  18. Should be an easy swap with most any eastern r/rd model. The air ride replaces the rubber bushing on the rear cab mount. The front cab mounts stay the same. Hood and radiator mounts are just as the other responses say. Should be an easy bone yard find.
  19. That is 84 superdog's video. I just hit the wrong button trying to reply. Bad part is that ive seen the same thingat my hometown viaduct.
  20. A little epoxy and some buffing.... be good as new!
  21. Swapped between a 1998 RD690 e7 400 12speed pure bred dump. Red with matching red elliptical box. First elliptical box with high lift gate from Henderson. My other ride was a 1998 Cl700 E7 454. 289inch wheel base day cab tractor with 20k front and cheater. 18 Speed pure bred. Miss that job. The CL would pull the cat 345BL like it wasn't even there.
  22. I see no issues. A couple more welds and some silicone it should float just fine. Just need to find some water. Lol
  23. Didn't get a picture today. But did talk to Bibeau directly. Found out the down side to cross memberless boxes. You can't replace the floors when they get holes in them. You can patch but can't cut out the whole floor. It will spring the box if you do.
  24. I have the Bibeau BFL-S box on my freightliner. I love it. It is light weight and tough as nails. I am hauling class B rip-rap (200 to 800lb) boulders and barely a dent in the floor and no dents in the sides. The only option I don't have is the highlift. It adds about 500lbs to the total weight of the truck. It also adds some maintenance to the truck. The company I bought the truck from stopped ordering them for that reason. Now we just order the extended hinges and haven't had any issues. I will try to get a picture of the hinges tomorrow.
