  1. How bout driver side fuel tank, windsheild washer reservoir, and rear wheels.
  2. My walking beam is only.rated for34k. It has the rubber blocks to isolate it from the frame. Not impressed with it so far.
  3. I agree with Superdog. I'm running a R and a Ch. The R handles the loads much better and drives better. The CH has a walking beam rear and 18k fronts. The R has 38k rear camel back and 18 k fronts.
  4. I'd come! And bring both Macks. good reason to polish all the aluminum.
  5. I have both armrest in my RS and never use the driver side. I doesn't affect a.ything, it's just there. The only bad with high backs is they rub the back of the interior by the window.
  6. Lmackattach. Thats exactly how I shift mine. If you don't run 4th out to 2000rpm you lug really bad in 5th loaded.
  7. Don't think I've ever seen that many gauges in a R model!
  8. I could use the spare superdog. I wouldn't know what to do with a 427 in my ch. What do you want for it?
  9. The trailer sounds like.it is set up for being towed behind a pickup or lighter duty truck that has the turn signals and brake lights on the same circuits. I'll have to look how I set mine up to overcome that problem. Give me a couple of days.
  10. Got it figured out I hope. 2 inch stud that goes through rubber block was broken clean off. Couldnt tell till we jacked truck up by frame. Just waiting for frame bracket to reasemble
  11. Manders diesel in lakeville MN has rebuilt rears for very reasonable prices. Under $1400 if I remember corectly. They are easy to deal with and ship anywhere. Housby in des moines IA rebuild their own. Just dont remember the price.
  12. Never thought about the deep tread. I run pretty agressive tires on my trucks. Both have the auto locking diffs and go offroad frequently. Not many total miles a year ....so tires last awhile.
  13. Also drove the RS today and it drives like a new truck....guess I should drive it myself instead of listening to the help. I think they just want a new truck.
  14. Its the old style with blocks atached to the frame of the truck and walking beam under. This is the first mack ive seen with th uh s style. Seen lots of fords with it.
  15. The camelback is completly new. I replaced e erything this winter when I swaped to new axles. I'm not seeing any thing glaring on tbe hendri, son. It has 4 oval rubber blocks. Could the hinges being worn on the dump box letting the box move,a little cause the drivability problem?
  16. No tire marks yet....but it tracks as much as my camel back does on my old mack.
  17. how do you check the suspension bushing to see if they're bad? truck acts like it has 4 wheel steering sometimes.
  18. My RS takes alot of foot pressure to stop. I'm not sure if I could lock the rears. Was told it was the foot valve. Have to wait till winter to put it in. I also have all new brakes and hardware.
  19. I can scale 51500lbs. 38000lbs rears 18000lb front. I scale out with close to 18000 on the front. Its the 79rs in my sig.
  20. Thats how my 300+ pulls. I can run with the guys with 425hp up till 45mph. I think if it had a 12 speed I would have no problem running with them. I have a spare 300+.... I wonder if it would fit in the CH?
  21. I have changed every suspension components under the truck.... except for the springs. steering box, tie rod ends, king pins, all the rear bushings, twice. the heavier you are, the squirrelier it gets.
  22. Mine doesn't have traverse torque rods. no mounts at all. don't think I've ever seen a camel back with traverse torque rods.
