...the gripping descriptions- picked up 2 rusty scrap coils in East Pittsburgh last week ,right near the Westinghouse bridge. This is a steep hill. This is a long straight stretch on a hilly road- U.S. 30 in Pa. top of the mountain... random boobage thrown in in case pictures are boring... pickup in Lynchburg, through cracked windshield. Peaks of Otter from the end of Wyatt Miles Road, about a mile from here- Peaks of Otter from Bedford, through new windshield. I'll be glad when snow season is finally over! Saw a big Mack dump truck for sale. and some big green Terex dump trucks there's no such thing as too much boobage, eh? Newest part of rt. 48 that's open, from rt. 93 to Patterson Creek Road. pulling into the brake check at the top of the mountain, west of Moorefield. good place to go rock climbing! 5 coils on this load. more random boobage, because everybody likes boobs. Saw this accident on the southbound side of I-79 at Fairmont, W.V. Thursday. The truck was still in the road, the trailer was down over the bank. Had a huge transformer on. I saw another Miller truck farther north in Pa. heading south with a similar empty trailer, so i'm thinking something probably malfunctioned on the trailer to send it off the road. Southbound traffic was already backed up for almost 8 miles when I went by. Then when I was getting on 70 west off of 79 I saw another accident scene- looked like this one was probably going a little too fast for the ramp. Saw some big Macks in Butler. saw 4 wheelers passing in no passing zones-what's new? ...and I saw Muskrat Slide Road.

well, if anybody could put a big block in a smart car, using only scrap metal and commonly discarded rubbish found laying around in the corners and under the tables and work benches in the shop, you would be the man to do it!

everybody's right...but with all the many things in this world you can worry about nowadays, spelling, punctuation, and pictures are not at the top of my list. My federal tax return was accepted, but the state return was rejected so straightening that out is at least in my top ten worry list now.

I had to take a 53' van to Louisville Sunday. Unloaded, reloaded, then had to bring it back to Lynchburg and drop it. Had to back off the street into a door and to the dock inside in Louisville. The door was pretty wide to back in, but there was very little room to maneuver in the street, and there was a pole right across the street. I only had to pull up 30 or 40 times though before I got it in there. Mark could have done it blindfolded. Then when I got to Lynchburg yesterday evening I had to blindside it to the dock because there's not enough room to turn around. There was 3 docks there with a trailer at 2 of them- fortunately the open one was on the end nearest the back of my trailer, or i'd probably still be there now trying to back it in without hitting one of the other trailers. I had to pull up and back up 85 or 90 times on that one. It's harder when people are watching too. There was more room there, but still not enough to get straight. I started to call Mark, he probably could have done it blindfolded. I like flatbeds, not near as many tight squeezes to get into...but it's all what you get used to I guess.

Well, you know when I started driving if you saw a truck with the 4 ways flashing it meant he was backing up, and you stopped and gave him the right-of-way. Now i've been backing in, with the 4 ways on, and had trucks drive behind me like it was nothing. Makes me wanna hit 'em sometimes!

yeah, that's the reason I didn't call the police- figured they'd say "you're on private property, settle it amongst yerselves!" That's what I told our safety man Bobby when he asked me if I wanted to call them. He wanted to know if he was cooperative and I said "yes, very much so", and he was- he apologized for "driving stupid" and got his insurance info. and license right away. I took a picture of this boy's license and insurance card- he's got GEICO by the way- he's only 5'6'', 125 lbs. If he'd been any kind of asshole about it at all it would be different, but I could tell he was really upset about it. He was trembling, and the tears...he even apologized to me for not going off on him. So, did the Werner girl cry? Ever hear of the "Lead Sled"? It's a W900 working show truck, I think the owner lives in Montana-we're facebook friends. There was a write-up in the "Movin Out" paper about it a year or so ago. Beautiful truck. Anyway, he had fueled up at a truckstop somewhere a while back, then pulled up to go inside. The Werner truck beside him pulled out and turned right and destroyed the hood on the Lead Sled.

you're right about that, I thought about that, or if i'd been out and just happened to step around the front of the truck when all this was going on. I was the only thing anywhere around, and he had to run into me!

Yep, for the second time I was parked, minding my own binness, when somebody ran into me. I had just unloaded at Lowes in Oakland, Md. and pulled from behind the store out into the main entrance road to put my wood away. I pulled over to the side and was sitting in the truck waiting to call headquarters, and for them to get the roads in a little better shape before I took off to Pittsburgh. It had snowed about 4 or 5 inches during the night, and it was 16 degrees. Some kid in a Honda car took off from behind me and gassed on it, just playing I guess, and the car got away from him and slammed right into the step under the driver side door, slid up and took out my chrome hubcap and nut covers on the left front steer tire, and also broke the hubcap so the grease was leaking. He blew his right front out when he hit me. I was putting my coat on when he came back and climbed on the side of the truck. I was highly pissed off already, and hadn't even seen the damage yet. But the first thing he did was apoligize, and when I got out I looked at him and saw a tear rolling down each cheek. He was only 20 years old, worked third shift- he still had his work uniform on- and said when he got off work he had to take his wife to work at Lowes before he could go home and go to sleep. It was so stupid, and unnecessary...but after hearing his story, and the apology, and seeing him crying, I couldn't be too pissed off at him. We were all 20 once, and probably did stupid things. I put some duct tape on the broken hub cap, got his name, rank, cereal number, and insurance information, and that was that. Stopped at Truck Enterprises in Harrisonburg last night and had the broken cap replaced, and picked up 2 new stainless steel hub caps and 20 new nut covers. You can see his tracks here... My duct taped hub cap- held pretty good for a while!

i'd turn that picture right side up for you if I was home Vinny, but i'm behind the Lowes store in Oakland,Md. At least they have free wi-fi! -
I think that's what you call a perfect specimen.

good googly-moogly! If I was 30 years younger, i'd be in love!..now, what's the point?........
-
thought I was done with Winfall for the day, but this image seemed to really catch my attention. For some reason I seem incapable of doing a simple "cut, copy, paste" now , so here's a very poorly photochopped girl waiting for the train in Winfall.

soon as i'm hired as a dispatcher, which should only be a couple of days, you're in!
-
not a problem- it's in the mail!
-
Thanks for the tips, I just reappliplicated!
-
it's OK Joe...you're the only friend i've got in the whole wide world...sniff....sniff...
-
Hey Joe! that's the feeling I get too, it really should turn out well whenever I get hired. They might have lost my applelication, I sent it in last summer. With my knollege and skill I was expecting them to come knocking on my door any time...still waiting.
-
what? that's it? I've been waiting for a week to see your response to the camoflage, face paint, gasoline, and shovel post- and that's all?!!
-
yes indeed, and the way I route myself is because i'm practicing to be an LTL dispatcher when I hang up the old driving gloves, the ones with the fingers cut off. I've already got an applipication in with Pitt-Ohio, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

you had to go and remind me of a joke!..i'm not even gonna tell it...too many people hate my stupid pictures, posts, and jokes already- you probably already heard it anyway. You know, the one about the guy that's never been with a woman before?..no experience?..none at all?..but he ends up getting married, and on his wedding night he tells his new bride his fears- "I'm sorry honey, but...but I...I've never been with a woman before, I don't even know what i'm supposed to do!" She said "don't worry silly- it'll all come natural- just take the hardest thing you've got and put it where I pee!" So he jumps out of bed, gets his bowling ball out of the closet, and throws it in the commode... That one- but i'm not gonna tell it.

well, I would have, but I didn't have time to fool with them. And that's a very good observation about the same spot Ed, however that's just a weird thing about West Virginia. You go a few miles, and everything looks the same as it did a while ago. I can't explain it, but the first stuck girl was in Littleton, the next one was in Romney, the next in Yawkey, and the last one was in Minnehaha Springs...very strange,eh?
