  1. by the way,I finally got most of the rest of the pictures on webshots... http://rides.webshots.com/album/572065624hKgZmm
  2. oh So in this particular trans. if you shifted it like A duplex you'd have underdrive and direct, as opposed to the more common direct and overdrive ,eh?
  3. It took me hours and hours to design and draw up these different versions of the Robmobile camper-well,arrright then, minutes, it took lots of minutes to draw all this crap and Rob doesn't even make a witty or funny response...as of now i'm officially retired from the automotive design bidness-done-finished-through!..and I was just trying to help.
  4. I use deep woods "Off", but this is ridiculous-I've mowed the grass the last 3 weekends in a row, and there's still lots of ticks-not in the weeds or bushes, but I mean just walking around in the back yard. Caught 2 just now crawling up my arm. If it ain't one thing it's something else. Think i'd rather battle the rabbits-hate ticks!
  5. I'd have to drink a lot of beer to pee all over the back yard, then it would be time to start over. Haven't had any trouble with bugs in the garden yet, just lots of ticks-everytime I go outside I get A tick or 2 crawling on me. We used that diazanon before and it got rid of 'em-sprinkle that on the ground and wet it and you couldn't find a tick! Works great- I guess that's why you can't get it anymore.
  6. That's where I have the mixer insured, and I think it's under $400 a year.
  7. Not much good to report. Been at home since Tuesday, but just got a load going to Orchard Park, N.Y. And how about the ticks this year? More around here than i've ever seen. Can't get Diazanon any more, but I tried some other kind of poison and it doesn't seem to have any affect. But everything i've planted so far came up, and the garden is growing like crazy. I put a second picture of the garden, taken from the back porch, because it's raining again-first was taken Friday, second Sunday morning. The beans have nearly doubled in size! Now not only do we have lots of ticks, I have to worry about creatures like this when I go outside! I think it's a non-poisonous garter snake, but i'm of the opinion the only good snake is a dead one. The dog was barking at it about 4' from the garden, under the rose bush where Jo was cutting flowers yesterday. I applied the shovel to it's head.
  8. Geez, are you ever satisfied?..good point on the chimney though- i'll move the fireplace to the front, put the reefer in back, and lengthen the tongue on the fuel trailer. I was trying to keep the overall length as short as possible, so it'll be legal on rt. 6 in Nelson co. That's a design flaw on my part. And a boat will fit on top of the fuel trailer. As far as the other stuff, he's on his own.
  9. You asked for it, so here it is (I have so little to do!)- the super duper deluxe model Robmobile, with all the previous features plus a ThermoKing reefer unit for AC, and an extra large fuel capacity- includes the special "run out of fuel insurance" wrecker just in case he runs out of fuel anyway.
  10. Name: V8 Massey Ferguson 1155 Category: Tractor and Equipment Videos Short Description: V8 Massey Ferguson drive by View Video
  11. ='Rob' post='35049' date='May 10 2009, 09:51 PM']...I also thought about making this truck a camper with a winch on and off unit to go to shows, basically an RV. Rob I might have what you need for that plan too-easy conversion. Here's a before and after of this nice Robmobile camper...and the super deluxe model, with twice pipes, satellite TV, CB, and a bigger door with a genuine cinder block step, and raccoon tail tied to the rear bumper.
  12. I like it too, that's a sharp looking truck right there! did the disc work OK?
  13. I unloaded a load of lumber at Byesville, Ohio Monday morning and deadheaded home-after sitting all day Monday and most of the day yesterday. First time ever there wasn't a load to be found. Another truck was in Hubbard, Oh. and one was sitting at Dallas Pike,W.V. and everybody came back empty. Todd said "if you're gonna sit, you might as well sit at home". I said "yeah, at least I can watch tv until they cut the lights off". I took a few pictures while I was parked at the Go-Mart truckstop- nice looking Lonestar International, some oversize loads, a cabover Pete, a polar bear (I think), a colorful Pete, nice looking old KW. Never seen a truckstop so empty this time of day!
  14. I just saw a USED 15 1/2 foot steel body in the truck trader, and they wanted $5900 for it, I think it was. The sides looked higher than 36'' though. I have a 1950 Chevrolet single axle dump with an excellent rock body on it. I'll sell the body for only $1500 , but you're probably looking for something a little bigger-this body is about 3 1/4 inches long I'll even sell the whole truck for $1500.05 Kinda hate to sell it, it's the only dump I got, but for that price I would let it go. No, I found another one. I have a '60 Chevrolet with the same body, so i'll keep the '50 and sell the '60 even cheaper.

  16. Several years ago I was talking to one of P.L.Duncan's drivers in Sparrows Point,Md. I was telling him about my old cement mixer and my love of old trucks, and he told me about all the old trucks Mr. Duncan had, some packed in a building so tight you could hardly walk between them. He said they were all old, and most of them were running. I told myself then, "self, you need to get down there and take a look at those trucks". Well, after about 5 or 6 years, I finally did Friday. It was a great trip. I called Mr. Duncan before I went, and he told me to come on down. He's a very nice man, and when I got there I saw that his driver I talked to was understating if anything- he has all kinds of antique trucks, stuck everywhere! I took some pictures, then stopped to see an old friend of mine before I went to see mom and dad, and he owns the old 860 GMC that was a wrecker at the garage I worked at in Cumberland when I first got out of high school, in 1974. It was great! You can still see "Cumberland Auto Service" on the doors. Always loved that truck- 6-71 Detroit, 5 speed, with 2 speed rear. Just wish I could have driven it again! But, it was a great day! p.s- the wrecker body and winch that used to be on the 860 is now on this 9500 GMC, still in use to this day! Here's some random pictures...
  17. Oh...well then, just forget the hefty bag and duct tape idea.
