  1. Great shots, love the freighthaulers. The U looks excellent in Eastern's colors. All I remember of Smith and Solomon is black and white KW cabovers. IIRC, they opened a driving school after they quit trucking, using the same equipment.
  2. "I heard you like to sell seats. I'll take this one."
  3. It's Idamay. I've made several deliveries to the Alasky's furniture warehouse which is also on that property. My bills always listed Farmington as the town.
  4. That's a fairly common site in western PA and probably one reason the TPKE tolls are so high compared to Ohio. They've been widening and in some cases realigning the road which often times requires some major excavation work. The same can be said about real estate. Folks around here will level anything if it's an otherwise prime location.
  5. When I was a kid it seems I was always doing something that would end with me slipping and landing on my balls. Not just the usual stuff like on the steel equipment at the school playground or slipping off the front of the bicycle seat, either. I could fall forward and while most kids would get scrapes on their knees and forehead, my crotch would somehow hit the ground first. I was in constant pain from one mishap or another from age 6 until around 12 and never thought anything of it.
  6. You practically handed that one to me.
  7. I'm going to go out tomorrow and buy something special for my Wife. I thought this would be nice.
  8. Excellent. You must be very excited. I would never have thought that was possible.
  9. 15 of those will be equipped with the M-Drive transmissons. initial reports on these have been positve and Pitt Ohio feels much of the cost will be offset by fuel mileage, savings on clutch replacements ( we run tractors 1,000,000 miles and average 2 clutches per tractor) and the grandaddy of them all, driver satisfaction. The 750,000 mile warranty doesn't hurt either. Those 15 will also have aluminum rims on the steers. LARGE CAR here I come, WOOHOO!
  10. I would like to offer my belated condolences to you and your self respect.
  11. My Dad decided to get his mc at age 48 because it was the only motor vehicle he wasn't licensed for. He would rent from Ghost so he could take a ride when he got the urge. He did that for only a few years and then stopped riding. I had fun with dirt bikes when I was younger but lost interest somewhere along the way, I'm not sure when or why. The Barge and Spinny Hill don't ring a bell, but that was many moons ago. I do remember sitting at the counter of the P&P Diner which was across the street from the train station. Dad was not a drinker so that was his hangout-the man would nurse a cup of coffee for an hour then jokingly complain to the waitress that it was cold.
  12. That Western Star in the second pic looks like a classic. I'm not sure when they stopped using the round headlights, but it was quite some time ago. Are they demolishing a mountain? I Googled Black Butte and found a "before" photo. I sure wouldn't want to take on a job like that without the proper equipment.
  13.
  14. That's the LI I remember. It seems we had fire like that every few years in eastern Suffolk.
  15. Welcome. Thanks for your service and best wishes for a full recovery. Things are a bit crazy on here right now as our fearless leader has been on a 2 week hiatus. Rest assured that once he returns to visiting on a regular basis, things will.............go right down the toilet.
  16. You can borrow my excuse: "Honest Honey, I didn't click on that site. How could I?, my hands were in my pants the whole time! Must be a pop-up window or sumthin' "
  17. That's quite unselfish of you. You're a fine man.
  18. She's wearing a push-up bra.

    Rob:

Well, it is good to hear from Rob and I hope all is well, but I've have been having a friggin' blast in his absense.
  20. My Dad got his mc license in '67-'68 and rented from Ghost a few times. Maybe our paths have crossed. He also worked part-time at Shields Hardware. At the time, he was living at the Bayview Hotel at Main and Bayview.
  21. Here ya go. More than you will ever want to know about pierogies. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/23362-making-pierogiesiesiesss/
  22. That was very generous of you.
  23. Looks to be in nice original condition. Best of luck with it.
  24. Sorry to hear of another $8k hit in the wallet but the satisfaction and piece of mind you received from the dealer is priceless. You were fortunate to find a dealer that has a genuine concern for it's service customers and employs at least one (if not more) true professional mechanic to boot. This could have easily turned into an even worse nightmare on the road, too bad the crew at your local dealer are a bunch of clowns.
  25. It's fine. They just stuff the old fish with potato filling and tell the out-of-towners it's a pierogie.
