  1. I ordered the E9 overhaul manual 5-102 from Auto Repair Manuals, shipped out Nov 5, arrived on 19th.. took two weeks with usps to run the border!!! the manual is a 2000 copy of the 1993 second printing and the text/picture clarity suffers a bit but all info is there and readable. I'm happy.... been watching on evil-bay for a year, bought a few others but this one has eluded me. just got to get my other project done and I can get on with the MH.... one at a time or I end up with nothing to drive..!!! 2. MH and Blonde.... what a great combination and it looks like I'm 50% there already... just the high maintenance part still needed.. BC Mack
  3. OK... well, that was fun? I'm not going to hog this theme too long, but merely wishing to provide you with relaxing entertainment on these long winter nights... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXz4P6EpX3s not as violent as the last one but it has all the ingredients needed for a casual relaxing Sunday drive in Russia... you know, helicopter, semi's, jet fighter, cars, animals, streetcars, pedestrians and farm equipment..... and not forgetting the vodka enjoy BC Mack
  4. found this on a UK website, sure some of you must know this company in NJ... more photos here http://www.commercia...log--and-a-mack BC Mack
  5. MHfred another MH saved.... yeh!!!! plastic cab guys rule...!!! was it the 'pink' one on ebay??? BC Mack
  6. Thank for that site info.. bought an E9 manual, good price... will give a review of quality and service when it arrives. BC Mack
  7. Hi Stev thanks for the lead... but... I'm just so old fashioned that I prefer manuals on stone tablets or parchments... at work (transit mechanic) we have everything in an on-line library and it is a PITA to find anything, example, the Allison Hybrid Trans 'book' is 500 pages, ever tried using a laptop on a road call with a cell stick?... not even close to funny. Give me a book and my thumb will find the pages, my screwdriver is the bookmark for "multi-functional chapter comparison"... and nothing freezes!! however, I do have some aircraft manuals on disc because the books are collector items and ebay prices are sky high.... 8. Hi Superdog my MH E9 is a 93 with original engine, 8 in-line pump, 500hp... the manual for sale is 81 and I was asking how different this manual was from my 93 engine... pretty sure it would be ok as a general review or guide but not good for technical specs and adjustments... so, I probably will not buy it and keep looking for one more close to what I have... it's like having a hobby within a hobby... its called "finding stuff"... 9. Guys, as these are local to me here on the left coast I would appreciate your input... http://nanaimo.en.cr...3342294828.html question is, how close is the engine overhaul manual for me to use on my 93 E9 500.... it is dated 1981 and coded 5-EM©9-400®-100-1... good general info or just too different to be of any use?? how does the price look? I'm only interested in 2 or 3.. anyone interested in buying them go right ahead and do so, I don't have dibs on them... can work a split... the diff one may be of interest to me... I've got 4.64's on my MH and maybe there is a change in my future, hmmmm any input welcome, just asking..!! I don't know much about the supply of manuals.. what's rare for my truck? thanks in advance BC Mack
  10. Farmer my 93 MH came with a gold bulldog... sworn affidavit from last owner who saw it being removed by a nefarious character... his co-worker with a Cat powered MH whose logic was... yellow engine = yellow dog, and the boss agreed!!!! the captive nuts for the base... can they be viewed from behind by removing the dash top by the windshield??? or is it a box section..? cannot offer you any other removal hints other than general practices, patience, gentle love taps and let lots of PB Blaster wick in.. I have yet to do what you are, put back a gold dog!!! so keep us appraised of how you get on.. BC Mack
  11. Geeez, I know Vlad has explained why so many Russian cars have dash cams, but what is it with the high speed on snow... ok, must be the Vodka then... BC Mack
  12. Sadly, Hooters Air is long gone, kept their best talent for the airline... sorry for the thread drift, but can you blame me... BC Mack
  13. North of the border old Mack's still linger.... Maybe Bob Dingsdale can supply some info about these in Campbell River... http://www.commercia...s-rust-in-peace and these B's are in Ontario http://www.commercia...on-biglorryblog this one I now see on a regular basis in Squamish BC, it turned up a few weeks ago... not sure who is operating it, if I see the owner I will get details. 14. Wayne I use "CBS Parts" in Burnaby, they have an outlet in Abbotsford... the Euclid stud sizing chart is usually on the parts desk.. they got me all my odd ball stuff for my 56 bus, sometimes you have a minimum order for package size and have to wait for a stock order or pay extra freight... don't forget to renew the back nuts and hardened washers, not supposed to be used twice (but we all do!!).. http://cbsparts.ca/c.../cbs-abbotsford also, try Inland KW in Burnaby, plus all the truck shops in Port Kells/Langley... there's got to be a "wise man" among them.. 15. .... and here he comes again with the rest of the load... I wonder what the view out the windshield looks like..... let's see Hugh on Ice Road Truckers beat that... 16. Hi Vlad I knew you were there and I was eagerly awaiting your photos, but the time difference on the west coast of north america allowed me to post the video on my Sunday evening while you were asleep..!!! I always enjoy seeing the high cab F700 cabovers and ANY Volvo F88/F89 or Scania 111/141...... BC Mack

  20. yes, it is a Scenicruiser, one of the few left that is still in original seated condition... I'm doing a bumper to bumper 'mild' restoration on it trying not to ruin the originality by making it '"too new"... built in 1956 and originally had two DD 4-71's side by side in a twin-pack, which was a disaster, in '62 the 8V-71 was introduced with a Spicer 4 speed. Ran with Greyhound in SanFrancisco until 1975 then to Melni Bus in Santa Barbara CA until 2001 and I've had it since 2005. A lot of Vietnam vets would have travelled on this bus from SFO out to Travis AFB. It was "cover girl" in a bus mag in 1980. Sorry for the diversion away from Mack trucks... BC Mack
  21. I have to admit, my Mack is being neglected too... oh I really want to get that E9 roaring but my mistress demands everything from me, she's big and wide and drips whenever she stops... yes, forgive me fellow forum members but I too have a green leaker 8V71.... and yes, it's a bus.. BC Mack
