Big loads, big hills and horribly rough roads. Peterbilt's, Kenworth's, Western Star and Mack Granites. And while all the others fell apart (except for the Star 4900 and 6900's) the Granites just kept on going, every day. I wasn't a fan of driving an M-Drive, but those trucks took all the abuse for the last three years. I just wish these new Mack's weren't as ugly as they are. Word is they are adding a second alternative/generator to power a 48 volt heating element in the DPF-SCR system. I know they are re-designing the pistons and adding the 48 volt electric heating element in the catalyst. I will have to say the Pioneer I drove the other day was averaging 9.25 MPG.
