no pictures because i forgot to take them....but saturday for lunch at the Old Bridge Raceway Park spring swap meet we had 50 cherrystone clams cooked on the grill.....for two people.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

I put this ribeye in that ziplock bag with some Dale's Marinade today.

I was going to cook it in the cast iron skillet again, I figured since I screwed up the last two I was due to get one right, right? But Zina said "no, please don't, just cook it on the grill!" 

So I said "OK".

I'll have a full report later.

I thought it was perfect! But I took it back out to the grill and gave it another minute per side.

Doesn't look much different to me, but she said it was perfect now. 🤔

personal opinion !!no such thing as tooo rare. have partaken in the butchering of my steer , sliced off a piece and down the hatch !!! what grill. you mean your not suppose to feel the heart beat still in the meat !!LOL

on those VERY rare occasions I find myself at table with others. steak on menu ;I order medium/rare for the sake of others. one instance while in a group and ordering rare ; as I cut it the blood ran ! another poor soul who had ordered well done (and it was ), besides pushing his plate away , almost barfed at the table. LOL find it easier NOT to go out with others ; LOL

Terri just put a pan of veggies to raost in the ove, I just finished a pot of homemade Mac-n- cheese..

I cooked some whiting fillets on the grill yesterday. I put them on an aluminum grate thing that I sprayed oil on so they wouldn't stick.

And I coated then in crushed barbecue flavored potato chips, part of a recipe I saw Emeril Lagasse use to air fry fish. It was ok, but I wouldn't do it again. I'd rather have a big bag of Wise barbecue flavored potato chips to just eat instead of using them for a fish coating.

But they looked pretty good.

Zina wanted to make fish tacos, so she did. I'd never tried a fish taco before, but it wasn't bad.

But all in all I think I'll just stick to frying fish in oil and cornmeal coating or beer batter.
