Zina said thanks, she's been looking for a cottage cheese recipe. She eats it all the time, but I've never tasted cottage cheese. It doesn't look right to me 🤣 but it might make a good pizza crust.

Now I know why the last pizza I made was terrible. It was one of the Chef Boy ar-dee make your own home made pizza kits and she said to make it on the pizza stone instead of the baking pan. The stone is thick and the crust never got crispy, because the stone never got hot enough. I never thought to cook the crust first.

It would be funny if I got brave enough to actually taste it and liked it. Then I'd be saying "oh man, I can't believe I've been missing out on something this good all my life". But that's not likely to happen.

I worked at a pizza joint chain in Maine that put cottage cheese in their lasgana.. it was different than what my people made, but it was really good.

You are supposed to heat the stone while heating the oven.   It helps to have a pizza peel to slide it on the hot stone..  blah blah blah...   but im right...  🍻

Zina's making the cottage cheese recipe pizza crust. The crust is in the oven now. I'm warming up some leftover venison pot roast that I made in the crockpot Monday, because I hate to waste stuff. I'll take a picture of the pizza when she's done, I'm sure I'll give it a taste.

Really... who cares... i gave my stone away to an eclectic guy i work with.. he will never use it..  all you need is a vented pan..

We used to have one of those, that's what I always used. It's probably still around here somewhere. We had never used the stone before, I didn't know how to run it. 🤣

Be patient with it. It will look loose and watery, but it will stop bubbling and settle down after 25 + minutes and then the crust will firm up and eventually toast to a golden brown top and bottom. If you have a high dollar oven, check it a few times to be sure its not cooking too fast. Our oven is so so..but it works..

What will she top it with?

Not sure, I'm sure it'll have lots of cheese on it though. Maybe pepperoni. We have onions and green peppers too, but I don't know if she's going to put any of that on it or not. She's still working, cooking remotely from her office.

We just have a so-so oven too, I guess. We had one of those smooth top stoves with no burners on it when we moved here and I couldn't boil water on it. So we sold it and went to Lowe's and got a stove with regular burners on it. Then somebody told me you needed special pots and pans for the smooth top, that's why I had so much trouble with it. I was ready to throw it out in the yard.
