KRWFL Posted October 21, 2022 Share Posted October 21, 2022 Good morning. I'm a model maker and I'm trying to recreate this picture in 1/24th scale. The trailer has me stumped. The wheels and axle look like they came from a Mack truck. Is it an old Chain drive truck frame turned into a trailer? Why is the chain tensioner still attached? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks. ( justoldtrucks.com ) There are members there that are overly familiar with trucks from the beginning of the 1900's through the end of the 1900's. tjc transport Posted October 21, 2022 Share Posted October 21, 2022 It very well could be a "home made" trailer out of an old truck frame. But with those solid tires, you need heavy springs to compensate for no tire sidewall flex.
