But anyway, I love these. Was there a big difference between these and their Autocar brother?

not really .mostly cosmetic

I once read somewhere (I think it was on the ATHS site) someone said the White was more of an assembly line mass produced truck whereas the Autocar was hand built.

 

I didn't know if that was true or not? I'd gladly take either one now! LOL.

I think these Construcktors looked like Autocars, but they were more like a heavy duty vocational version of the 4000 with a set back front axle.  Later on the Constructor merged into the Autocar line.

I have not heard or read much about the history of the Construcktor model but I have always liked Autocar more than White.

I posted pics of a brand new DMM tandem steer mixer when they first came out. Well that same local cement company had one of these Construcktors as their block truck for many years. I never did get a picture of it.
