Well introductions are in order for a virgin here. Welcome to the forum by the way, before you get started by just jumping in. Until more is known... In modifying your existing engine, you're going to damage it (not if....but when), and repair will not be "cheap". Back in the day, a 300 paired with a 9-speed was perfectly acceptable, with adequate power and impressive fuel savings.......and in my view still is. I assume money-saving fuel economy is important to you, and max GCW remains 80,000lb.
