Where is the outrage?

Securing the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from confinement and imprisonment in Mexico has not been a top White House concern. Fox News, however, has devoted considerable airtime to his plight and at least one member of Congress, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), has been on the front lines trying to secure his release. In short, Tahmooressi was driving along the southern border when he accidentally crossed into Mexico. He was arrested soon afterwards by Mexican authorities when they discovered he had three, albeit registered, guns in his possession. Tahmooressi is a combat veteran.

Last night his best friend and fellow Marine, Mark Podlaski, went “On the Record” with Greta Van Susteren. He described Tahmooressi as the most "unselfish, motivated, lead-by-example” Marine he's ever met. But more importantly, he also described the harrowing circumstances of his imprisonment and the appalling way he has thus far been treated. He likened his prison sentence to that of a Vietnam POW, explaining that he was beaten, stripped to the bone, and forcibly confined to his bed for so long that when later asked to stand, he couldn’t:

I don't know why we haven't boycotted Mexico yet. I would think a sudden stop of American funds and bodies into that country would send a quick loud message

Truman signed legislation protecting the rights of Mexican migrant laborers recruited legally to help harvest U.S. crops, and was unable to win congressional approval of measures to crack down on employers of illegal immigrants. During his nearly eight years in office, about 3.4 million were deported or left "voluntarily" under threat of deportation.

Eisenhower created "Operation Wetback," and officially deported just over 2.1 million Mexicans were recorded as having been deported or having departed under threat of deportation.

There appears to be a legal precedent set by them, but it's not good for the politicians voter base.

Not a lot that can be done I'm afraid other than to vote some of the bums out of office in the upcoming election. We just had a primary runoff here in TX and threw out a coupe of them including the Lt. Governor who basically controls the legislative agenda here.

He supported legislation to give in-state college tuition benefits to illegals and had been an advocate of instituting a state income tax. No worries, we voted him out. And you can do it too. Please. take time out to vote and help get rid of the bad apples... My two cents.
