Yeah the tailgate and rear springs from a pickup to make a bench is a pretty neat idea. (Hmmm, wonder if I could bend a camelback spring.....)

Have a friend whose wife is quite the artist and she painted one of their rooms with old school gas station theme with his actual hot rods in it. I told her to make the rear of his 32 roadster pickup a real tailgate on the wall for a sitting bench.

Better use a Ford! The Chevy one is probably part of a recall; you will have to wait for notification, take it back to the dealer, get a loaner, and hope that it gets

repaired properly. Stick with "Built Ford Tough".
