Bigdogtrucker Posted April 16, 2012 Share Posted April 16, 2012 My B-75 was charging last fall,but after sitting over the winter it's not at this time.It's been converted to negative dround,and the generator was rebuilt a cpl. years ago.What should i look at first to find the problem? randyp Posted April 16, 2012 Share Posted April 16, 2012 I take the back generator cover off mine, spray lectra clean in it, blow it out, and while its running, hold a stick of commutator cleaner on it and clean rust off commutator. It usually perks up and goes to charging. Bigdogtrucker Posted April 16, 2012 Author Share Posted April 16, 2012 I pulled the cover and poked around a bit...After that the guage was moving in the charge direction when the RPM's are up.Also noticed my generator belts are a bit loose,and squeal some when reved.How should the points in these regulators be adjusted?Here's a pic of the inside.
