I did not know you could get the short cab with the soft dash. I just looked a 1989 spec sheets for a U600ST and DM600SX. Both show the CA491 cab. The U is 94" front of hood to back of cab. The DM is 103". The center of front axle to back of cab is 66" for the U and 65" for the DM. Now I'm really confused. -

Are you sure about that? The U was made into the 80's and the short cab stopped in 72. I might go look at that truck this week just to see what it is. -

How many times have you pulled the neck without unhooking the air lines? My stupid move is to unlatch a tailgate without unhooking the safty chain. Feel like a fool when you go get a machine (or something to back into) to push the tailgate closed.

Looks like someone was looking out for you. Glad your ok. Just yesterday I had a guy that couldn't understand why I wouldn't pick up a box with lightning in the area. I told him I would raise the hoist if he would hook the lightning rod, I mean cable. He didn't think that was such a good idea.
