  1. Around here we say Merry Christmas, but I understand that not everyone does so, Happy Holidays to those of you who may be offended.
  2. Is it out of a rear engine with the 90 degree transmission?
  3. All Hail the Mack Museum! Another great tale verifying the unmatched resource we have for our hobby featuring antique Mack Trucks. The staff at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum does a great job honoring the Mack brand.
  4. They are listed as stone guards. When on a Superliner they are usually covering up the swelling of the hinge structure when they rust in the front of the fenders.
  5. I have seen this one before. It is a nice truck. The K would make it a glider, wonder who put it together.
  6. I have seen them but never got the chance to buy one. The last one I saw was at an upcoming auction in Macungie, PA. The sale was over the weekend and I couldn't attend. I tried to get someone to go to buy it but nothing worked out.
  7. They were officially named the Freedom Series. The highlight was the bumper to mudflap extended warranty. The Detroit Locker rear is not the easiest thing to find. I suggest checking with some of the larger yards and rebuild shops like Cresson Ridge.
  8. Have her get it really lubed up and they you should be able to get it off. Then you won't worry about changing the Bulldog...
  9. There is a special socket that has two carbide prongs that grip the theft proof screws for removal. The MH mount does not offer much clearance to get vice grips on the heads to get them out that way. Your best bet would be getting another mount, put the dog you want on it and mount it. Good Luck
  10. Here is the breakdown for 1M2N143Y8EA001261: Manufacturer Mack Trucks, Inc. 11. I have 1 of the Mack V embems as well I always wondered where it came from. I would be interested in the Mack bus emblem and 1 from the hood side of an early B.
  12. It was worth it, we had a great time. Oh and Mack supplied most of the meals. You can't take it with you, enjoy it while you can!
  13. Albert has posted video of the Power Demonstration.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3wF1x4CVFI&feature=g-all-u
  14. I had all intentions of mentioning BMT during my part when I was mentioning getting the younger generation involved in the hobby. But hey, I was winging it and forgot several things I wanted to mention. Besides that, he had me go first, I didn't have the ability to work off of Harvey & Tom.
  15. I made it home! I am beat! We had a great time at a fantastic event. Thanks to Mack Trucks, The Mack Trucks Historical Museum, all of the Mack Trucks employees, Mack Museum employees, ambassadors and Mr. Reardon for hosting Trucktoberfest for us Antique Truck enthusiasts. I will attach a few photos and there will certainly be more to come.
  16. I saw you rolling north on I-81 about 11:00. I was headed south in my blimp. See you tomorrow. Doug
  17. There is a truck wash at Exit 16, Midway/Bethel on I-78. North side of the Interstate on the right.
  18. I know we missed you at Gerharts but you absolutely did what you needed to do! Our thoughts are with your and your family. Doug
  19. From what I understand, the C-model is basically a DM/U model chassis in disguise. Mack was working on the DM/U and utilized some of their spare sheet metal to bring the C-model to market. The L cab is used on C's, B's, L's and fire trucks based upon the L chassis. There were some panels available but it appears as if those have all dried up. C-models are neat trucks, I have had the opportunity to purchase several over the years but for one reason or another it hasn't worked out. Good Luck with yours!
  20. I don't even remember the words to "in the jailhouse now"! Does anyone else have another request?
