  1. I like that BCR nice short sides on the body. Cheers, Rob
  2. Oilburner when you are getting into trucks that old I think it depends as far as price goes what the truck is worth to you. You can't really go by fair market value because the truck would probably be worth for scrap. I think a good solid DM could be worth that. When I bought my R Model Valley Mason wanted 14,000.00 with the spare donor R. I got them down to 12 because the truck had a few issues but I saw the value and potential in the truck so it was worth it to me. Except for the cam issue that truck gave me six years of no issues up to this point. Cheers, Rob
  3. No Brutis but that Black RD is nice. I remember the truck. I know a lot of guys back then would disconnect under the muffler and run straight pipe for the day. Cheers, Rob.
  4. More pics first one John Mauros Autocar this is the other truck I believe. They had two of them. Next is Allegro's Superliner with a V8 12 speed and chrome valve covers. Amazing what useless info I remember. The rest from Englishtown. Cheers, Rob
  5. That company in Newark TRMA? imports parts I think and is the go to guy for Scania. Cheers, Rob
  6. Yea I don't buy and sell too much stuff. I would probably be the same.
  7. I've driven both Allisons in Macks and other trucks and I have had mixed feelings with it. Tomorrow I;m drving a Oshkosh cement truck with a 6 speed allison and 3 stage Jake with a Cat. That's another story. Cheers, Rob
  8. Same 93 RD I drove for L. Demarino that I posted a while back. We were working in Mahwah on top of Macarthur Blvd. It was going to be the new headquarters and research for Datascope. James Construction from Oakland was the site contractor. They had two of these Fiat Allis loaders. We were running 20 trucks a day out of there. It was by the load so it was a rat race. Bergen County figured out where we were going and waited for us on 17 South every day by Allendale. Cheers, Rob
  9. What year Lucerne? Looks like early nineties to me. What trans?. The Bibeau body looks brand new. Cheers, Rob
  10. I know where you took this pic BKrois. This was at Tilcon in Pompton Lakes formerly Gallo. This is the quarry that 287 splits. Cheers, Robert
  11. The DM has a set up like an Oshkosh with those super singles. Like MR too
  12. You know if you are a little computer savvy or your brother in law works for IBM things can be done. If you are keeping the pics to yourself and using them for your personal wallpaper. Just saying. Hey I post pics and you are free to keep them. Rob
  13. I love that up North kids go to school with sleds. AWESOME!
  14. I wanna see pics Vinny. I love old sleds. Brings me back to my childhood. I would love to buy some new sleds and take the kids. Someday. Cheers, Rob
  15. BCR a 5 and a 3 would be cool as hell. 607 interesting story I was a senior in high school when we ordered this truck. I was on the phone every night with my dad going over stuff. It was going to have a RT6610 10 speed in it which was a little more common but I changed my mind( I wanted more gears dammit) so when this chassis came in to Deluxe it was in May of 87. My father went to pick it up to bring it up to Amthors and was given the keys and said adios gringo. My dad never drove a Roadranger before he went all the way up rt 17 to the Thruway to the Quickway in one gear at 45 miles an hour LOL!. We were in a hurry for this truck back then. The fat eighties we had so much work we didn't know what to do with it. Anyway we figured it out and that trans is basically like a 15 speed. I've never run out out of gears you can just keep downshifting. The best combo. Cheers, Rob
  16. j hancock the rear has never went. The trans is original just changed it to synthetic years ago. Like you said just maintenance and things wearing out but that;s pretty much it. In fact almost bought a Ford originally but was too much money. Then had a deal going for a GMC Brigadier from Roches Garage in Callicoon NY with a 6v92 and a 10 speed. Backed out when they couldn't supply a frame to suit a 16ft body and they were going to cut and re attach frame. Wasn't comfortable with that. International was our third choice as up to 86 they only had the DT466 at 210hp. 87 was when they came out with the DTA which had the air to air on it which sold us. I didn't want the truck to be a dog. Cheers, Rob
  17. New Internationals are terrible. This truck was a bit of a trend setter back in the day. Nobody had anything like this in Bergen County. Yea some guys had some big regular dumps but nothing like this. Was a lot of money back then, $56,000.00 comes to mind. I have the original invoice somewhere. Now your looking at 80 to 100 grand. Cheers, Rob
  18. Green Dash I will never get rid of her. Just did an out of frame 2 years ago with the Ag Kits. Very happy with how she runs. Just keep rebuilding her. Cheers, Rob
