  1. Hvy gunner, saw your post about the guy who passed off his cliff jumping injury as job related, reminded of a co-worker of mine.Monday mrng.1974 I'm pulling on to PA tpke.I see one of our tks.on shoulder.the guy is lying over the wheel.I go up his face is all red and he  Has a black eye! He's a little guy 150lbs 5' 6",his girl friends 200 lb husband caught them in bed,(2nd time!) We were both gonna deliver in pa,then go to Baltimore Md.for a load of Ford fiestas. He asked me if I'd load his cars,And he'd show me how to load the Fiestas. It was my 1st load of Fiestas and there was an xtra unit involved.I said sure.I would have done it anyway, but the (teachable moment) was helpful. So he drives 270mile to Baltimore, and 270 mi back to pgh with a ruptured spleen! Then he parks his tk. At our yard and goes to the hospital, tells the boss he fell off his trailer! He could have died! Must have been a heckuva girl !

Truck shop, that old hay haulin' Cabover reminded  me that the hay haulers of the central valley have some of the sweetest Cabover trucks in America! I call them "class 8 street rods" usually single axles with flatbed doubles,or a tandem flatbed straight truck with one or two trailers. All dressed up with chrome etc.Mostly older Mexican o/o take great pride in their equipment!
