  1. While stuck in a traffic jam on 55 south today do to an accident. I look up to see a Torquise B model wrecker working. Screwed up on the first pic but got a few as it exited and headed west. Anybody seen this one?
  2. Ah ok that makes alittle sense. But wouldn't it be easier to put it in place as they already have it on there or do they got to do other mods?
  3. Interesting looking never seen a dual steer that was a lifting axle
  4. Screw it buck the system and get a Peterbilt emblem. lol J/K. I think it is your body you should get what you want.
  5. Depends on who you talk to. I'll never have them on anything. Never liked the handling, you blow a tire your screwed, but you are lighter.
  6. is that a 12k steer under it? Why would someone put that little of a front end on a tridrive?weather they put the weight up on the front end or not it is hard as hell on the front end and kingpins as well as tierods are gonna be the first to go. Idk why some people spec things like that. Kinda like this built a monster and put a 13k steer in it. to king pins later swapped out a 23k steer for it with the factory engineers blessings.
  7. It could be like an Rv but instead of using airbags the landing gear could be independent of one another.level it out and also when the air gets low and the down force comes off the lift axle more weight gets rolled forward and down. Now saying this I have never seen this truck in person. Just speculation
  8. If you can handle being heavy and wide it is a great gig. Nights off. usually find a good spot to park in if planned well. usually 1/2 a day saturday or all day and no sundays. Depending on the state. some holidays off. And oh yeah I got stories. I think everybody doing this has a story or 10
  9. Might be height issues that way. Also could of been a width problem. With that being on a perimeter trailer anything is possible. Routing might be easier coming down 77,Then hitting eery detour they might have the extra out of route that way may of been shorter then the out of route coming 95 to 85. I would be sure that with the height, length, And width, they probably are not seeing much interstate. Just getting done with a high load myself yesterday a 79 mile run was 165. too down 1 phone line smacked a few others. hit a road sign, and I was only 14'5" Tunnels shouldn't be a problem I forget how tall they are but last time I came thru they had a 12 wide restriction.
  10. Sitting here in Paulsboro,Nj

  11. they haven't made 359's in a long time I think you mean the 379 and now the 389.
  12. What was funny we where grossing about 126k going up to the mine in Climax and it pulled like a raped ape up and over loveland. I flew up that pass. Got to the mine got empty. Coming back is when it decided to go nuts on me. I could barely pass loaded trucks. Took it to pete the next morning and had the air filters changed and a cab air bag. Did better but as we headed east it got better and better. Next time we got out there it started doing it again then that was when it dawned on me.
  13. My Cat does that out in Colorado. It pulls even heavy it is slugish but when I am giving these legal weight guys hell up the mountains I realize it isn't just me. I've changed air filters,Fuel filters, pulled my hair out till I got to lower altitude and figured It didn't like being upwards of 12k feet.
  14. While getting onto Eastbound 283 south of Harrisburg Seen a red old school truck in the distance coming west bound. Beautiful looking red tractor. At first from the distance it looked like a binder. As it got closer I saw it had a Mack look and when it went by said Mack. I think it was an L maybe a B but not sure. Single axle red tractor in mint shape.

  16. ok not to rehash the subject. Since one of these won't work on my Cat. I see some of you are either doing the conversion or talking about putting a cummins in. My question is would this work in a dodge with the 5.9 and could you mount the transfer case up. Also would it be doable on a regular cab or is the wb to short? I want something different to drive. And do not want to get something to put a detroit in
  17. Thats something they should of told you while they had it apart. Then let you decide. Now they gotto take it back out and labor, parts, I know it's a money game but do it rightthe first time and you get better customers
