  1. Thank you both. Look for a future thread on my truck in the coming days. If I knew how to post pics via my iPhone I would but it doesn't seem to let me. The home PC is currently undergoing some much needed TLC.
  2. Stumbled across this message board looking for clues on a recent behavioral issue with my truck (more on that later in the proper field) and figured I'd join being that I'm already tied to other boards for other vehicles and hobbies why not one for the big truck too This is my first Mack. A 2010/09 motor Pinnacle day cab with the MP8 and an Eaton Fuller Driveline. Growing up about 7 miles from Allentown PA, everyone knew someone that worked or works at Mack Trucks. Although the headquarters has since been relocated ( a huge disappointment and shock to the community), their vocational plant is still in full swing. As a matter of fact they just announced they're looking for an additional 100 people to keep up with their recent spike in orders. Being around trucks all my life I never owned more than a box truck when I leased on to a Ma and Pa courier outfit in the 90's. So as a company for most of my driving career I drove what I was given, the last 10 years being mainly International with a Volvo and Freightliner sprinkled in for good measure. With Cats inability to produce an emissions system that functioned properly our company was going to auction after auction to buy pre 2007 trucks since we were having so many problems with Cats REGEN system. Our gunea pig 2010 International with their own motor didn't fair too well either. So in talks with Mack ( two brothers started this company in 1967 with two Mack dump trucks) we got tester to try out for a year. We couldn't have been happier with the result and subsequently ordered 20 more. Me being an 11 year senior guy I opted to trade my cornbinder in for one. I still can't believe how quiet they are on the inside. Not only can I hear myself think, I can hear the person on the phone thinking too. The cab is spacious and the ride is astounding, even for a bobtailing daycab. Then theres the power.. Puts my old C-13 to shame ! Only complaint I had in the beginning was for a set back axle i thought it should have a better turning circle but I have since grown used to it. The only problem I had (up till a day or two ago) was at assembly someone apparently put a split O-ring in the trans cooler line and at 600 miles i had about 8 quarts of trans oil under my truck. When I took it to the service center since i was out on a run at the time I made them crawl under and pressure wash everything cause the blow by was ridiculous. My truck runs a PTO operated blower for unloading dry bulk materials out of pneumatic tanks. So there is typically a lot of engine time throughout the day. I'm wondering if that's why I'm starting to have REGEN issues on my own but nothing that has required dealer service as of yet. I have 55,000 miles on my truck. My name is Matt and I'm 35 years young and its a pleasure meeting you all.
