    You know back in the day 6 bangers in a family car was quite common my first car was a 64 valiant with slant six 3 on the tree paid 20 bucks engine smoking back in those days. I didn’t know what I was doing. I tried to do a somewhat half ass rebuild wound up putting a rod through the block.

    Both excellent choices. I also had a 65 impala convertible. I only bought it for the engine that I put in that 55 Belair. it was kind of a shame to scrap the rest of it because the body was in really good condition., chrome, grille but in 1975 it really wasn’t worth anything at all. I only paid 135 bucks for the whole car.

    Not sure if I mentioned truck needs a lot of work, but it’s mostly just swapping out parts I wanted to start the restoration off by redoing the interior…. cab and doors are in pretty good shape, but I decided to start with a nose because it was the worst part. Everything else will be a lot easier.. bob

    i pulled the plug last night around 830,,,,kind of hard to get used to the fact i dont have to get up at 330 mondays anymore and my dogs are all balled up cause wife is out of town and thier both spoiled rotten,lol....im thinking of starting this mess this morning,,,,,a bit of a change of scenery,,and another challenge

    Yes sir, that’s just the way it was I couldn’t find much on a Cummings weight, but I am assuming they’re similar. Also make sure you use something light in the sandblaster as we discussed. Otherwise, you get clean steel full of craters I think but nutshells would probably be your best bet. Good luck.

    I don’t think it’s gonna take that long but I guess it depends on what size unit you are using. I would’ve guessed 2 to 3 at the most.

    only pontiac i ever owned was a 71 cant remember the model.....didnt have it long,,,,it had rear end damage,,,,i was going to fix it,,,but someone offered to buy it with a tidy little profit,,,so i turned it,,,i think it was a tempest,,,it was a 2 door only had it a few weeks

    Well Tom, this is what I used to wear with my Fedex uniform truck driving shoes. My wife used to tell me you’re the only one in the world that still wears those old people shoes.

    I had that happen to me one time on a customers car while we were trying to get it started. I was leaning over it as well. Most of the shit went on my shirt. I was lucky.
