  1. Coker Tire is a good source. I bought 8.25X20's from them for a 1955 Chevy 4100. I don't know what they have for big trucks, but it is worth a looks. Cost about $1000 for 6 tires, tubes, flatps and shipping, but I couldn't drive the truck without them. Mikd
  2. Vinny you didn't ask for a serial number yet.
  3. That is a really neat old truck. Definitely something I would be proud to own. Congratulations. Tubeless is a good idea. I don't know why they would recommend low-pros though. I'd keep the gasser in it. Mike
  4. That B model used to sit out in Leesport. I wondered where it got to. I guess I'll have to get out to New Alexandria some time to see their junk yard. It looks like fun. Mike
  5. There were 4 superliners lined up in the loading area at Macungie so I got my father to back his in there so I could take some pictures. The two black ones and the red one are working trucks. I don't know about the yellow one. The green one is all original and has been retired since 1995 Mike
  6. That B model is in good company, a Jag and Vette.
  7. I posted a picture in my gallery of what the truck looked like when I bought it and a picture of when it was a working truck. The Lanova had to be put back together and then the front end put back on the truck. The fuel tank was cut open to fix holes, but I made sure they knew not to damage the exterior paint. They could do whatever they needed to on the underside, but not the exterior. 8. Can you post pictures? You will have a better chance of selling it. Too far away for me. Mike
  9. I looked at all 13 pages. They are great. Where is the junk yard with all the B models in it? Where is the yellow B model in the garage with the lawn mower in front of it? Mike
  10. Thanks for all the compliments. It was a long, frustrating wait. It was more frustrating for my mechanic. He spent a lot of time at the Mack Museum looking through records to get it back together. He is very proud of the truck. I was glad it did not rain while the truck was out because I did not want to wash the dirt off. I like the "barn find" look even though it is not really a barn find. I guess I will wash and wax it a some point, but not yet. Several people told me they had the chance to buy the truck before I did, but they passed it up because they were scared by the engine being apart. I would have passed on it too if I knew how much trouble it would be and how much it would cost. Like I said above, I have had several offers to buy it. It woudl take a lot of green to separate me from this truck. The video above is great. Well worth watching from the beginning. Thanks for posting it. Mike
  11. Welcome to the forum. Sorry I cannot help with your questions. I have been told the rotary pumps can be a problem. Does it have a V8 in it? Hopefully someone will be able to help. A friend will be visiting from Belgium this weekend. He lives in Halen. Mike
  12. I finally got my LFT back from my mechanic. It had been hauled to him in October of 2010. The Lanova was apart with a bad number 5 piston and liner. While a lot of parts came with it, the truck had more problems than expected. My mechanic had a hard time finding parts. He got it all back together and drove it to my house two weeks. I drove it to Macungie lat week. As far as I know, that was the first show it was at since the ATHS National Show in Valley Forge, PA in 1985. I had not even washed it. I had several offers to buy it. They were all declined. We also had the Smith's Brockway there. We put the gas tank on the night before and hauled it up on Friday. Tom Smith, 39 Baby Mack's big brother, drove both trucks home on Sunday. I had hoped to have my MH there in the line-up, but it was blocked in by a non-running 405A fire truck. Next, we will take the Smith's H613 to the mechanic and see if he can get that running. Hopefully it will be at Macungie in a few years. There is a link below to the pictures in my gallery. I hope you enjoy them. Mike http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13516-1950-mack-lft/

Finally done getting the Lanova put back together.
  16. Good scores Vinny. Sorry I missed you at Macungie. I saw someone walking through the flea market with R model door panels and thought they would look good in my father's RL. Here is what I bought at Macungie. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13515-1964-white-4264-rigging-truck/ Mike
  17. Great picutes. Sorry I did not get to talk to you more, JT. I was searching for my nephew who was gone for 2 hours. He was just looking at trucks. That was a nice Titan. I especially like the picture of the back of it because it has my son in it. That is me holding Wes. He is 3 months old. Mike
  18. Looks nice. Go for it. You will need an aluminum bud though. I know someone who can haul if for you if get it. Will you be at Macungie? Mike
  19. I have not talked to the owner, but I am told he has no interest in selling them. Most of the sheet metal is junk by now. Yes it is a shame. Mike
