  1. Neat truck even though its a Ford. Trying to save my money though. Hope someone takes care of it. Is it yours? Mike
  2. Indiana is a little out of the way, but thanks for the offer.
  3. I can't afford another building. Not sure if I can afford another truck.
  4. My building is 60 x 140 and it is stuffed. I would like an aerial though. Mike
  5. Beautiful truck. How long has it been sitting out? Is the gold leaf paint or tape? How does the aerial work? Do you have the serial number? I assume it is a 237. Is that the case? I don't have any room to put it inside. Mike
  6. So if it is a newer cab do you think the milage is correct? And what happened to the hood. It is cheap enough no matter what. We definitely have the numbers out here, but the conditions are better out west. The trucks are not all rusted up. Mike
  7. The guy had been warned several times before getting the letter. The Manungie truck show has been in the same location for the past 30 years and we would like to be invited back. It is in a residental area and surrounds the community pool. It is not just people at the truck show who can hear it. Yes, it is a truck SHOW. It is not a loudest truck competition. Trucks make a lot of noise to start with and then to make noise for the sake of making it is out of line. I am all for making noise at certain times. I love winding out my unmuffled Cummins in my Autocar DC75 or the 671 in my Autocar/Hahn when I am on the highway. They had a loudest truck and loudest air horn competition at Trucktober Fest last year. It was held on private property in an industrial area, not the middle of a community park. I go to a fire truck show in Harrisburg which has a parade from the Farm Show Complex to the River. Every year it is lights, sirens and horns the whole way. This year as we turned onto Front Street there were signs stating "NO SIRENS OR HORNS". I asked the show chairman if there had been a problem. He said "no, but we are in a hospital zone and we want to be invited back". A little common sense and self policing can go a long way. Mike
  8. A few years ago a guy was sent a letter from ATCA to never come back to Macungie because he made so much noise with his V12 Detroit. I was told that story this year at Macungie by the guy who sent the letter while you were making a lot of noise with your Detriot. Not everyone appreciates it. Mike
  9. It looks great. Thanks for the pictures. When can I pick it up?
  10. I'll be there with a Mack or two. My second favorite day of the year behind Macungie. Mike
  11. Very glad to hear that Ernie, Jr is doing well. He will remain in our prayers. Mike
  12. Definitely stick with the 5 holes that you have. The truck looks awesome. Do they make tube type radial tires? Mike
  13. Not all B67's had contour cabs. It was an option. The hard nose was also an option. A long hood, however, was not an option. Definitely didn't go along with the goal of a short BBC. Mike
  14. I would like a W model, but not a Double U. Maybe he has two U models. One of those ugly things should be enough for anyone. As for the V, I know International made a V model, but a Mack V model is new to me.
  15. Carl, Good seeing you on Saturday. I hope you had a good trip home. Where are the picures you promised? Mike
  16. I'll be there saturday with two trucks. Mike
  17. My father is hauling down the AC and I am driving the GMC because it has seat belts. Can't have the baby bouncing out the window. See you there. Mike
  18. There was an entire collection of Maxim's on the SPAAMFAA site last year. All different kinds and all pretty cheap. They had a tractor for an aerial that was converted to pull a trailer for only $3500 or something like that. If I had room for it, I would have bought it. Go here and scroll down. http://spaamfaa.org/forsaleapparatus.html Mike
  19. I love your truck. I agree with Vlad. If it were mine I would not change a thing. Radials would be nice, but them you loose the awesome 5 hole aluminum buds. You would put a lot of time and or money into switching the truck around. If you want something different you might be better off buying what you want and selling this one. If that is the case I'll take it. I'll have Ray haul it home for me. Maybe this one will work the way it is for you or it can be kept as a trailer queen/local show truck. It would be a real shame to start making big changes. But as Vlad said, in the end it is your truck and you can do whatever you want with it. Mike
  20. It would be great if you could re-enact that photo above. I'd like to know where it is. Mike
  21. Here is my father's 1962 257 with a continental gas. Was used by Smith's in New York, titled in New York. Apparently gas was cheaper to run up there. When they close the New York terminal it was haule to West Chester and sat outside to rust. I bought it just to save it, but my father took a liking to after after he got it running. We have more in it than it is worth and we haven't even do that much to it, but it runs well and doesn't look too bad. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/13519-1962-brockway-257/ My father also has a 1975 758. I am not very fond of that truck. It is off getting painted. I think I will like it better when it is not white. Mike
  22. I prints of it in a parade in the fifties and a picture of it behind the fire house before he bought it. I would have to find them and scan them. Not to good at that. MIke
  23. "Ben better have a rag or 2 handy" For himself of for all the oil that those 12 cylinders can leak?
  24. Nice find. I just bought one with a gas engine. I like the small cab. I saw a newer 9000 with the Corporate Cab this morning. But haven't been able to post it. There is a guy looking for a Transtar. Hopefully he will see those pictures. Mike
