  3. Hey Guys, I still have a 285 tip turbine motor for sale, runs excelent. The govener on the fuel pump needs to be rebulit, but other than that the motor is in good shape. I would like to get 2,000.00 for it. It's still in the truck and will need to be removed. Thanks.
  4. I found it, try this; bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/28769-superliner-cab-for-sale-excellent-shape/
  5. There was a guy on here a couple of months ago selling one. Try doing a search.
  6. 752, your somewhere near Binghamton NY? Also is that an F model in the backround of the superliner pics, and do you have any pics/ info on it?
  7. Yea, but it's going to be nice all week and almost 60 up here on Tuesday!! p.s. I'm near Oneonta...
  8. Yea, stage 3 on my cummins is just like slaming on the brakes!! The only drawback is the jake is realy loud, you gota have ear plugs!
  9. I heard the unbalanced force of the jake could harm the crank... not sure how true that is though. I always run it on 3 on our 300 cummins, very powerful I might add.
  10. Nedly, maby I missed it but how long is the dump box and what kind of shape is it in?
  11. Shouldn't the troley brake be on the left side? Everything else is oppisite.
  12. There bad up here too... glad hunting season opened today, would rather see them taken by lead then by the bumper. Glad you made out ok.
  13. Thanks. My mechanic said the 285 and 300 are basicly the same, it was just the diffrence in the intercooling that helped to make up the 15 horspower diffrence. The 285 is in the F model I'm parting out and the info is nice to pass on to the guys that are looking at the motor.
  14. Hey Nedly, welcome. I've seen and followed you posts over on HEF, I'm masterwelder over there. Anyway I've streched a few trucks over the years but usually have seen fatigued frames completly replaced. There was a medium sized milk hauler and garage here (still here but have changed hands and haul fuel now) and I can remember them replacing the entire rails. Once fatigued your just hooking good to bad and chance the same thing hapening. I'm now expert on the jake or engine brake but I'm sure there must be lots of used out there reasonbly priced once you get to it. Always good to look first, but I also have bought sight on seen. The conforting thing is you got good stock to work with. I know you like to take pics, got any of the old girl to share??
  15. Can you remove the tip turbine and side mounted intercooler and use the engine in a chassis that allready has the air to air? Looks like you would need to change the intake manifold but other than that would it work?
  16. Cool, just about got em' all.
  17. Snow stuck here in the hills- they had a inch or two... Sign of things to come I supose.
  18. What makes a U diffrent than a DM? Was a U just meant to be a tractor? Lighter specs than the DM?
