  1. Preparing to find all of my airleaks as well as documenting each airline... All of my documentation (not much) for the air system shows a wet tank...my 88 superdog has only two tanks...which side is the primary? Is one of the tanks split in half internally? (for the wet tank) I am thinking the drivers side is the primary...is this correct? Lately I can hear a squealing noise that is coming from inside the tank (drivers side)...and one of the fittings is sort of buzzing...I assume this is the line with the worse of the leaks, is there some kind of check valve in the middle of this tank? It sounds like air is escaping somwhere inside the tank if that makes any sense...also, does anyone have any late model superliner diagrams for the air system they could scan and send? Also, does all of the air go from the compressor to the dryer, then to the primary tank? Thanks
  2. Starting to plan (fixin') to build a proper mount for the fifth wheel on the B...laying on the frame, the height is 53 1/4...once I get it up on a plate, that will add another 5/16 or so...the Superdog plate is around 48 off the ground... I guess my main question is, would these two trucks be able to pull the same trailer? Not sure ho much leeway you have on fifth wheel height! Also, where should the fifth wheel be mounted, center over the tandems? forward? rearward? I know it has a lot to do the weight and what you expect to pull, just wondering what are the guidlines, I can see myself pulling a trailer, but not any significant weight... Thanks
  3. Let us know what you find, and thanks for the great explanation of how it works...Mine is doing the same thing...replaced the governer, made no difference (the governer on mine bolts t teh compressor), My air pressure never drops below 125 and the dryers pffts about every minute, I thought since the pressure never drops, the unloader valve was stuck, BUT, as I am typing this, if the unloader was stuck it would build until the pop-off valve went correct? May have to rethink this... Any thoughts?
  4. Post some pictures of the bunk! Someone might be interested! How wide is it? Exhaust cutouts?
  5. I am no expert by any means, but there is either some sort of mechanical device that ties a temperature probe to the fuel system, or someone has added some kind of electric solenoid to the fuel line somewhere...I have never heard of either, but if present, it should no tbe hard to find! Find your temperature sensor...if it is a bourdon tube that runs to the guage, that is not it...follow the fuel line from the tank to the pump, you will find it if something was added... I don't think that is the issue though, because 180 degrees ought to be pretty close to the normal operating temperature...may be another issue that coincides withe the termperature rise...
