  1. I pulled a broken trunion and both rear springs and hauled them to the scrap yard. The total weight was 1400 lbs. The International air ride is maybe 450lbs for a single axle. Hope that helps! Packer
  2. I'm using an air ride from an IH. Appeares every thing will bolt right up to my top loader Mack Rear. Will have to change the brake cans to under instead of over and extend the 'S' cams but - - - Packer
  3. Could use two anytime, and another 4 later. Would want them in 22.5 in. Great Idea by the way!!! Packer
  4. When filling the receantly flushed radiator.... try using de-ionized water. Even distilled water has some 'stuff' in it and will shorten cooland life. The cost is about $8.00 per fill and will do a much better job than tap water. Packer
  5. poke your finger in the radiator - - - If you can touch coolant you're OK. If you can't reach the coolant,- - - put some more it! This method will still leave some room for expanction but still keep enough H2O and glycol to keep things cool! Try it ,you'll like it! Packer
  6. Back in the GOD (Good Old Days), a 1/2 in socket extention made a great gage for that 1/2 in adjustment. Packer
  7. Been looking over my "new" 1948 EG Mack and noticed that it has a Reo overhead valve 6 cyl. engine. The carb appears to be the same as my 401cu flathead. Anyone have info on 'Reo' engines? I assume that the engine is not stock but I'm just guessing. Packer
