  1. Holy mackerel- or salmon- that does look good. I've heard of that before, never tried it. They have the "shad planking" thing here in Va. every year, but i'm not sure exactly what it is.

Where do you get the cedar board? I have a cedar tree in the back yard I could chop down.

I guess you could cut your own but we buy them at costco, there only about a quarter inch thick.
  2. 1994 R series front hub has a little red cap in the center. It fell off and is leaking oil. I need a part number to get a replacement so I can use it this weekend. either that or MacGyver to jimmy-rigg it

Should be a number on the hub, take it to Mack or truck parts store, get some extras..
  3. For tonight Salmon cooked on the grill on a pre soaked ceder board, for those of you that never tried this it's a must do,sooo good..pre soak the board for a couple of hours and I use this spice with an equal part of brown sugar,20 minutes on a hot grill and thats it..

  4. That rate still kind of sucks. I can imagine fuel to figure in and wear and tear and the rate is not enough. Just saying as I don't know the cost of living in New Hampshire is. The pic of the Pete is wild since you can only see sky next to the road.

That does sound low, down here on Long Island the norm is 100 an hr sometimes a little less for a fast payer..
  5. Not that it is the same today, but when I worked at my father's service station in the 60's there were primary and secondary brake shoes. The primary was the front shoe and the secondary was the back shoe of the two. There was a difference between the two. I think the primary was a bigger heavier brake shoe. My 2 cents worth for what it is worth.

Are you talking about class 8 trucks, been doing my own brakes for 25 years and this is the first time I ever heard of this!!
  6. indeed!

I cooked some fresh asparagus on the grill Saturday evening too- just cut it at Mom and Dad's Saturday morning. Wrapped it in aluminum foil with just salt, pepper, and a little butter. It was delicious, better than the steaks I cooked. Couldn't pay me to eat it when I was a kid!

    lol,same here,now I love it especially when it's fresh picked,soooo tender...
