Been really fortunate not to have hit a live one,but ran over an already dead one (hit by the truck in front of me) did $2600.00 damage to the bumper/hood pissed me off as well,could have avoided the damn thing,but had nowhere to go! damn things are everywhere now a days,i really wish you hunters would tighten up and keep them off the road!...............................Mark

  12. We must be cut from the same cloth Jim! I still have my Dad's Fuzzbuster,and 23 channel Johnson "Messenger" (still works great BTW) I had it in my pickup for decades. His 148 GTL Cobra is in my truck now,along with a limited edition 29 (the gold one) as my back-up. Just can't bring myself to part with them..........................Mark

I had to laugh,earlier today I was parked next to a Werner truck a new Pete 3 something or other? brand new tractor,BUT there was not one thing on the truck that wasn't bent, broken.or missing! the kicker is,the truck said the drivers name on the side,and he was Werners "driver of the year"!.................................Mark

Jim, the data plate inside the door said it was a 500 series (521 Model to be exact)the I.D plate also said number of axles (2) I wish now I'd taken a picture of it as well,not at all sure on the suspension,but my guess is Kenworth Torsion Bar? maybe Page&Page?...................................Mark

Jim, I agree with you,about the bullnose years,but I looked at the data plate inside the door and it indeed said date of manufacture was Sept. 1958,i was told by one of the guys at this shop that 58' was also the first year for the "tombstone" shaped grille surround,so I'm thinking maybe an early production model? I know the new model year cars are always introduced in Sept.................................Mark

Not knowing much about the belt drive set-up,my best guess is it was "live" all the time,looked to me like just a toothed sprocket just like a bicycle,i didn't see anything that would suggest any way to turn it on or off other than taking the belt off? maybe someone here knows for sure?.....................................Mark
