The best engine was the 3406B hands down. CAT started going downhill with the 3406E and when they introduced the C-15 and decided to go with the ACERT technology they shot themselves in the foot big time. I know with CAT being gone Paccar has their own engine, they had that in development for the past few years and put that in class 7 trucks. International has their Maxxforce which is nothing more than a C-15 block but has International stamped on it. If CAT would have went to the EGR like everyone else it may not have been so bad for them. What shocks me is Freightliner is offering Cummins again in their trucks. I know back in 02 they dropped Cummins and CAT and only offered Detroit and Mercedes until around 06-07 and then they went back to strictly Detroits.

Actually maybe it was the manufacture's fault Rowdy. I know the LCD light went out in mine and I had to take it Best Buy/Geek Squad. It took them 8 weeks to get my laptop done. They ended up replacing the CPU and Motherboard as well. But if I remember mine was sent back to the manufacture to have the work done to it.

But the 03-05's were not nearly as bad as the Pete's that is for sure.

Thank God for that Barry! The closest Mack only dealer is F&C in St. Louis, they also specialize in GMC along with Quincy Mack which is in Quincy, IL. At least the Mack dealers in Illinois and Missouri seem to be separate from Volvo which is a good thing for sure.

Gambi it seems like Cali is the only state doing this. But you know when Cali does it everyone else follows. Then again none of the other states are bankrupt like Cali and I said since day one this is nothing but a money grab to make up for lost income.

I think that is too much truck for that boat there Tom! I didn't get anybody for Christmas either. I got money for the most part which I ain't complaining because I treated myself to CHiPs seasons 1&2 on DVD. a new mouse with a cord because the cordless mouse I had was eating up batteries, and new ink cartridges for the printer.

I agree about Vista, I have Vista on my laptop it came with Vista installed on it. I prefer XP but I want to try Windows 7 myself. I have a few programs I downloaded and use on a daily basis that make Vista much more enjoyable. I recommend downloading Ccleaner, Auslogics disk defrag (faster and works better than the built in windows disk defrag), and Super Antispyware. Them Freightliner's are sensitive in the handling department which is why I prefer the FLD cause it didn't have that flipping over feel as compared to the Century Class and Columbia. I know their front air ride suspension doesn't help matters from what I hear. Which that is an option on them. I never rode in a truck with front air ride so I wouldn't know how it handles.

Nice looking Shaker's. I've always been partial to Freightliner for as long as I can remember especially the FLD and Classic XL. I never cared for the Century Class or Columbia much. I prefer the Columbia to the Century Class any day of the week. The main problem with the Century Class and Columbia was lack of insulation which got the floor really hot from the heat of the transmission. Other than that they are just your average fleet trucks. I will admit the FLD and Classic felt like an actual truck and the Century Class and Columbia you can tell had European influence designed especially in the ride. I'm so partial to Freightliner I prefer one over a Pete and KW. I even like the Cascadia but my main gripe is the cab sleeper mounted antennas. From the way it's mounted it would be tough to run a Wilson 2000, I would assume the swr would be way out of whack consider the cab is blocking most of the coil.

It's funny how that works out, get up early any other time except for school and work. I thought you was one of those happy to go to work people? Like I always say choose a career you truly have a passion for and you'll always be happy to go work.
