Hi Paul, Sevastopol seige was so long because of constant Russian attacks from the outside front. Germans couldn't storm the city due to needs of other battles. Only after they took victory on the whole Crym they could seriousely fight Sevastopol. As book told me, Germans started artillary preparation on June 2nd 1942. It continueus 5 days, Odin and Thore made 18 shots, Dora made 7 shots on June 7th with no one into the aim. On the 6th day Germans started to attack with a cover of artillary, Odin and Thore made 54 shots. Main Russian artillary power in Sevastopol consisted of 2 batteries of ship turrels, each had 4 turrels with 2 guns of 305 mm. They were well fortificated. Germans got the city finally on July 4th only.Hi Vlad, Is that the model made from wood built in England? That undercarriage is something else on the Russian gun. On you tube there is a good vid if you go to the 800mm gun, that shows all 4 guns firing on Sevastopol. Do u remember how long it was after the seige was started before they brought those guns in?..........Paul
So the figure you interested is 250-33=217 days.
Don't know Paul of what that model was made, it is placed in General Marshall Museum in the Netherlands.

I have one more subsequental portion of parts recieved today.
There are chrome plated hood latches , Torrington needle bearing for NR steering box (only one of 2 required) and...
They came! R model head light surrounds!
Now I can make up my R's original arrangement.
All the parts are from PAI.
Thanks a lot to Rob, he sent me PAI #'s some monthes ago.
When I got the parts in my hands I thought "why these aluminium plates were so thin? They didn't look enough as truck parts."
After get home I started to open the plastic pack and surprized they were too heavy to be of aluminium.
And to my more surprize and a great pleasure I saw they're stainless

There were 4 big size artillery units at Sevastopol from German side - Gamma 420mm, Odin and Thor of 600mm and Dora of 800mm.
All had rail chassis. The lightest Gamma had a crue of 235 people, Dora - more than 4000. Nearly 40% of bombs fallen unblasted. There are lots of other artillery systems Germans used that battle includind 88mm anti-aircraft guns. Total duration of Sevastopol storm was 250 days.
Here is a scale model of Dora I saw in war museum in Holland. Other pictures show Russian rail based gun TM-3-12 of 1938. It places in Rail Road museum of Saint Peterburgh (in Russia). I visited it about 10 years ago, the pics are from the net.

Next time you must to make a piss stop and make a good picture of that blue U-model.
And look at the frame when realizing the stop. For the number.

Do you suppose he need so much to finish the U?Hmmmm! Women..can't live with them and probably can live without them! Best to just "rent" one!
Remember, when they are bad they are bad but when they are really bad they are great!
You are too young anyway...wait another 20 or 30 years.
Or you hope he will need that time enough to finish his all future projects?
Vinny, live your own life, take to account everything you hear around, make your own mind about and don't make fast movements.
Keep patience and take things easy. Especially about girls.

Looks monumental !
I suppose I have 4' pipe on my R with E6?
Planning to keep a stock look I need a long pipe that goes under the cab and sleeper continuing two elbows of 90 and some special angle.
84Superdog, do you recommend to ask Chrome Country for GR or ask GR directly?
I found a dealer that said "ready to import GR" but need to use another one to contact CC with a inside US shipping.
I haven't finished (haven't started) about Chrome although dealing with Phil Young at the moment.
So thank you for the help.

Interesting Paul, I can't remember I ever heared about that April date as original Barbarossa start. I was shure the June 22 was the choice as the longest day time.Hello Vlad, For years I have made the point in conversations that Russia lost 20 to 22 million,, all other figures for other minorities and groups of people I will say i wasn't aware of, just to piss off people that are so stupid or ill informed also, when I mentioned the original start of Barbarossa as April 1st, I actually don't think it was even possible till around middle to late May due to the spring rains, nevermind the conditions of the Pripyat marshes.......Paul
About the number of lost people there was a figure of 20 at Soviet times. When Perestroika starts it gets to multiply, I'm shure heard 27. On my mind nobody knows how
many were in real. I saw myself the "Brother grave" as it called in Russian of 10.000 soliders. With no names, just a stone with dates. It was near a little village in a region of Rzev. The front line was there for 2 years of bloodfull fights without moving. If you remember, I told, Germans retreated from Moscow for some distance. They found a good enviroment and prepeared fortification. The city of Rzev was on that line. There were 200.000 of total lost just near the village I noted above.

There is too much interesting in the net.
You just need to find a correct place.
I saw that site, it gets bigger since I was there last.
All the info of the kind wasn't published so wide just 10 years ago.
At least in open sources.
"......." was the name of the book in Russian.
It was avalible in the net as a full scan half a year ago. To my great surprize.
But that bootleg copy dissapeared.

Now I know the place of that first AC location.
Are there any other dogs?

Air income into fuel can make any issues including idle. It realises as bad engine work, governor may trying to keep revs so the play gets.
You noted first that the truck runs strong, I don't think she can do it with air in fuel.

Nice story, I just feeled by my back how you drove the ice road.
Shure it's better to find out a pissing guy then a leak from anywhere the truck.
Thank you, and for the pictures.
