  1. I think I got it bought very right especially comparing it to most of the ones listed on TruckPaper. The only downfall was that I had to purchase the trailer it pulled also,a '91 Wilson 41' hopper which I don't have much use for.Probably take it to the next auction.

I bought 2 new aftermarket Superiner II bumpers awhile back, very good quality but they are chrome steel, not he stainless clad aluminum like the original,I haven't checked on the status of OEM bumpers yet.

Something new for me. My R's have double metal bumpers with stainless outside. They both are of the original look and seems to me from the factory. I asked Rob and he told me he has never seen stainless R bumpers. I purchased brand new one yet from Watt's. It's chrome plated steel but thiker than on the trucks. Has OEM sticker on. Hope I'll have it without rust if I don't drive the truck in winter. It's for a hobby.
  2. My Lanova has heating units those fitted betveen cylinder heads and intake mainfold. There are electric spirales inside them with fat electric supply cables. You need to warm them up with a dash button before cranking. I heared these engines do not like cold start but can't say anything about my one because it's stuck now. Hasn't turned over probably since 1983. Heater plugs are typical for most pre-chamber engines as Mack Lanova is. Intake air is warming up for a fuel blow up when a piston going to it's upper point. Pre-chamber with main chamber (cylinder) have more cooling surface in relation to a single chamber. That's why these engines require more heat to start and usually use pre-heaters.

Putting some bits of oil into cylinders is not a bad idea to prevent linings and pistons from dry scratching.

  3. If you say it's blowing but not cold enough it looks like a low gas pressure.

I had an issue with a fridge when a compressor fault.

Local service man came with a new one, tools, can of gas and propane jet.

Made it up in 1 hour and it works till now from 1989 brake date.

The guys who work at my shop use it for keeping their midday foods.

18 years is not the age for a fridge.

I had an older one that worked from early 60's having original 127V. Needed to use transformer 127/220.

It ended up nearly 2000 because of dry cracked door rubber. There were no chances for OEM one

  4. I like the colors, looks bright.

Glad you have her got fired up.

Be careful driving while sitting on that plastic cage.

I had experience when the same thing broke out right under myself when making a turn. I hooked of the steering wheel with no chances to break having no point to react.

The vehicle had no doors also so I started to fall out still hanging on the wheel. She turned to the left instead of right into direction where people walking the street. Some moments later I got my balance and everything vent good. Uhhhh..

  5. You have one axle unspringed while try to run the other only.

Not a smooth way but can be resultive.

Try to fix the axle with straps for load. They're more flexible, can absorb shocks while running.

Use them more than one on each side.

Lock one axle with brakes isn't good. You force the interaxle diff to run with double speed instead of keep unmoving or turning over slowly while the truck makes curves.

Better is to lock it and than remove semi axles of rear propeller shaft.

Of course be too careful making these things.

  6. I'm shure the things we sorrow have their roots from low child discipline, not enough attention that modern parents pay for their sons and doughters, Holliwood violence demonstration and so on. I have a son of 12 yo, he lives not with me but with my ex-wife. Looking around his life I'm taking to solution that modern life is far different than me and my parents had. Reality is of another kind now. We have info flows of times and times wider and faster, we have consumption level more well than years ago, as the follow the life needs and values changed. And continue to change. Too fast. Too fast to understand how to fight new social problems on the field of modifying sorround.

  7. Well, its not really old. Anything older than 2000 isnt antuique!!!! I was born in 2000!!!!

    I'm quit the same way.

    I was born in 1975.

Every units of '75 and younger were took by me familiar.

Everything older seems famous and needs more serious approach.

  8. Terrible and sad thing...

The tragedy in Norway. Don't want to say the name of the killer.

The tragedy in Budeonovsk, Russia, some years ago - terrorists in a school with machine guns...

I can remember the shooting in Germany in school. F**king bastard with a pistol stolen from his father - victims and the killer's suicide.

No reason of where on the globe the things of the kind go on - they're terrible.

I agree with most of written above - Hollywood and Medias.

I personnaly ignore public media, have neither TV, so I learned about happened in Newtown just half an hour ago on a e-mail web page.

Much strength to the familys and everybody who was envolved.

Just can't imagine how to stay with it.

I'm not religious man but all my thoughts are with them.
