  1. and no bull shit please!
  2. I am getting tired of seeing posts with upside down pictures. When you post pictures and/or type a message...do you preview the post before sending? If not, maybe you should. If the picture from your "device" is upside down, there are several free photo editing programs you can use to correct the image. I try to make sure my posts look okay and check spelling and grammar before posting (I do sometimes misspell words on purpose). Just because I have a college degree does not make me the best speller nor grammatical person. At the very least I preview my posts, reread, and correct obvious mistakes.. We are all human and make mistakes but upside down pictures should not be that difficult to catch or post correctly. When someone posts images that are upside down, usually someone else corrects the mistake. Save us all time by making sure our posts are the best we can do. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes or hurt feelings. End of rant!
  3. Getting tired of reading the same thing. If we all bought 100% USA made products by 100% USA owned companies, we would not own anything!!
  4. Saw some Windfall girls today but no pics. Years ago I was not shy about taking pics of good looking booth babes but getting "gun shy" in my old age. I will try to get a few pics on Friday. Only saw two (2) antique trucks.
  5. Drunk sluts......Mack trucks.....hmmm..... Black f-me boots and thigh highs.....yum yum!
  6. Thanks for the heads up. IFTA has refused on several occassions to issue me a fuel sticker. I had one years ago for a previous truck and they cancelled it because I did not drive very many miles. The MH is in PA (licensed in OH) and is currently only being operated in PA. Been on the PA turnpike many times and never questioned. Antique plated vehicles do not need a fuel sticker. I have a ATHS letter somewhere that exempts antique vehicles. Do motor homes need a fuel sticker? Another 4 years and I can license the MH as an antique/historical vehicle. Can you send me a link or information on the non-commercial DOT?
  7. Never leave home without it! Never know when one might see some girls from Windfall nice looking trucks.
  8. I FINALLY found a company to transport the trailer from PHX, AZ to ALTOONA, PA for $2000. A friend is VP Maintenance at Old Dominion Freight Lines. They run pups and have terminals in PHX and ALT. As soon as I can get the details worked out and a check in the mail the trailer will be headed east. I was able to negotiate a slightly better price since these have been for sale since last fall. I probably paid too much (being the cheap SOB that I am).
  9. I am in Louieville. Sunny, windy, and cold! Welcome to the first day of spring!
  10. Get a group photo and post. Love to see all your faces (pretty or ugly). I am still leaving at noon on Friday.
  11. Years ago I got pulled over in my H67 (OH historical plated) when I got on the PA turnpike from OH. The officer was more concerned about my truck not having a fuel sticker. He never asked to see my license (and at the time I did NOT have a CDL). I encountered the same BS when I asked about a DOT exemption. "A hobby/show truck? Do you get any show prize money (income)? You must be kidding!" You talk to different people and they all have a different answer. They want to fit a square peg into a round hole. BTW, I can't get a fuel sticker because I don't have a DOT number. Well tough $hit! So I drive without one.
  12. If you can get your B up to 98...I will definitely take a video of that!
  13. disapeered = disappeared. Can't you get the picture right side up BEFORE you post? Someone had to "say" it.

    Nothing

I am retired and can relate to this... I spend all day doing stuff and get nothing accomplished.
  15. I talked to my Mack friend (Jerry W) at TMC last week. I told him of our "desire" to drive trucks to the WHQ and take pictures on Sunday morning. He liked the idea and said it should not be a problem. But the old assembly plant and property were sold and is now a warehouse. The property is fenced with no access so we can't get any pics there. Unless someone wants to run the gate. A "Mack Convoy"?? Maybe some local BMT members could do some surveillance.
  16. I agree but that is either going to be or is the requirement. Just reporting the news.
  17. This was discussed several months ago in several trade journals. I will have to look for the article. Not sure when it goes into effect but the bottomline is...to get a CDL you must get it thru a school.
  18. I am leaving for Louisville on Wednesday morning and should be there mid-afternoon. I still plan to only attend on Thursday and Friday (till noon). If anyone wants to meet, send me a note.
  19. I got my CDL the same way as Freightrain - studied manual and rented a truck. But I believe the rules have changed in that you must get your CDL by enrolling at a Driving School. Either way I recommend getting your CDL.
  20. On my "to do" list is polishing my fuel tanks. They are nicked from "road debris" and oxidized. I do not need a mirror finish but would like to remove the oxidation. Don't like acid wash. What do you recommend? I read the previous posts and I am SO CONFUSED! The left tank is the "leaker" and trying to decide how to repair...likely welded band. I will polish the tank after repair while it is still off the truck. Going to MATS Th and F and would like to come home with a good polish. Not really interested in "black boogers".
  21. I would run the engine "one last time" with new oil, filters, fresh Diesel fuel, etc. Note: add a multi-functional fuel additive to the fuel. Then leave the oil in the engine. I agree, fill the coolant system with new correct mixture coolant. Block off any openings (turbo inlet/exhaust, coolant, fuel, etc.). And store in a dry location.
  22. I contacted all the above and some others about moving a pup trailer from AZ. Quotes are in the $3900-$4500 range.
  23. Mike - will say prayers for you and your family (and the doctors treating you). I just found out a friend has inoperable brain cancer. No one said life is fair but hang in there! Keep the faith!! I hope and pray you will be 100% soon and driving around in a Mack truck! See you in Macungie.
  24. I will be there all day Thursday and Friday till noon. It turns into a real zoo on Friday afternoon and I will be gone!
  25. Ron, I agree, there is a resemblence to the MH. There was also a resemblence in the prototype CH model and the Louisville.
