  1. What does it say about me that I was able to understand "Tenjoberrymuds" without reading the dialog?

I've been saving this one up, but I just can't bear it anymore. Here's a picture of the PROPER way to wink at an illegal alien

  2. I have a 175 with a Honda generator for protable use, but just bought a Lincolin Flextec model 450, part # K2882-1. It's pricy though, a tad over $3000.00 Its 240 3 phase, 5 to 500 amps and has an inverter to do stick, mig, tig and flux core. It 'll gouge with up to a 3/8 stick. So price wise it replaced 2 welders and added a TIG machine. So it really isn't the costly. Its not much bigger than the 225 and weighs a bit over 120 pounds. NY requires that all vehicle structural welding is TIC. plus the benefit if TIC is Aluminum and Stainless. Paul

  3. I decided to learn the Spanish language, so I could understand the check-outs at McDonalds.

My next move is to learn Indian, so I can understand my doctors and the person that answers the phone when I have a warranty problem.

Yep, by the time I read this, I was able to understand the 1st line.

    "TENJOOBERRYMUDS"...

In order to continue getting-by in America (our home land), we all need to learn the NEW English language! Practice by reading the following conversation until you are able to understand the term "TENJOOBERRYMUDS".

With a little patience, you'll be able to fit right in.

    Now, here goes...

The following is a telephone exchange between maybe you as a hotel guest and room-service somewhere in the good old U S A today.......

Room Service : "Morrin. Roon sirbees."

    Guest : "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service."

Room Service: " Rye . Roon sirbees...morrin! Joowish to oddor sunteen???"

Guest: "Uh..... Yes, I'd like to order bacon and eggs.."

    Room Service: "Ow July den?"

    Guest: ".....What??"

Room Service: "Ow July den?!?... Pryed, boyud, poochd?"

Guest: "Oh, the eggs! How do I like them? Sorry.. Scrambled, please."

Room Service: "Ow July dee baykem? Crease?"

    Guest: "Crisp will be fine."

Room Service: "Hokay. An Sahn toes?" Guest: "What?"

Room Service: "No? Judo wan sahn toes???"

Guest: "Oh, English muffin!!! I've got it! You were saying 'toast'... Fine...Yes, an English muffin will be fine."

    Room Service: "We bodder?"

Guest: "No, just put the bodder on the side."

    Room Service: "Wad?!?"

Guest: "I mean butter... Just put the butter on the side."

    Room Service: "Copy?"

    Guest: "Excuse me?"

    Room Service: "Copy...tea..meel?"

Guest: "Yes. Coffee, please... And that's everything."

Room Service: "One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglish moppin, we bodder on sigh and copy .... Rye ??"

    Guest: "Whatever you say.."

    Room Service: "Tenjooberrymuds."

    Guest: "You're welcome"

Remember I said "By the time you read through this YOU WILL UNDERSTAND 'TENJOOBERRYMUDS' ".......and you do, don't you!

  4. Yeah, can't figure NYS. I have a 88 Dodge 3/4 ton, The passenger plates required a stand up cap and a pair of permantly fixed seats witrh belts. The weight is unladen and don't put a load in it. you'll get a citation. I left my commercial tags on it for my trips to the dump. N.Y.C. is even worst on enforcement of the cap law. they'll tag you at the bridges and tunnels.

Truck wise I have a few friends with the Duramax and they love it. The Dodge with the Cumins is a trouble free unit too. I trhink bottom line would be what you like and what is available. My Dodge has a 5.9 Cumins, first year it was available in the Dodge with a heavy duty 4 speed stick . A side from injectors and a starter, no problems in 150,000 miles and 22 years. Paul

  5. This Happens with everyone, These authorized service stations :pat: charges a lot for any minor faults and don't treat well as per we paying the charges.

Some garages are not so recognized but they serve very well, and they have real expertize in auto parts. Also they are available for service anytime with our convenience, they charges only for the right amount of work. :thumb:

Been reading this guys posts....another computer generated answer??

  6. Thanks for the comments on the Blue AK6. This was done at the Mahan Collection shop, which consists of Jack, Brian and myself. We are curently working on 2 other AK6's as well as an AC oil tanker, and just finished the Marchello R model.

The A-54 is mine, and that is the rad cap behind the bulldog, it has an EN-510 engine and 9 speed duplex. I also have an A-50T, 3 A-40's, and an A-30.

Beautiful job on theAK6. Would really like to see some AK engine pics if possible. Paul

  7. Sure sounds like a very unhappy ex employee. It seems that most dealers (car and truck) hire mostly part changers. I've also got more help from members here than from my local dealership. The general ratio of Mack to other makes for the sand and gravel trucks and the road builder was always 90% Mack and the balance spread between Pete and International. Now a Mack hauling sand or asphault is a rarity. There mostly all K.W., Petes and Western Stars. Could be the dealer service and general "we're the only game in town" attitude be the cause? The techs I've dealt with here couldn't pour pee from a boot, if you put the instructions on the bottom of it. Thank god were have good ,knowledgable helpful members here.

  8. I go to Hersey every year as a vender in the Chocolate field annex. I buy and sell 1941 Chevrolet parts and Corvair truck parts. This year with almost nothing to sell I went on a quest looking for parts for my AC and general B model parts for my mixer. I bought a complete AC engine for $75.00 to get the factory oil filter set up. Not much other stuff there. Some AC sheet metal that was worse than what I have........Must have been real special because of the non negotiabe prices. It seems that prices for almost every thing doubled or tripled. Came across two NOS B model front fenders and and filler panels.....at only 3500.00 for the set non negotiable.

Am I that out of touch with current parts prices for old Macks?

  9. Make sure your cables are OO in size or larger. 12V needs a larger cable than a 24 V system. Then a volt lost test needs down on all connections and cables. As well as a 12 V starter.

Are your batteries good?, do a load test on them to check for Crank draw and a low or bad cell. Also check the ground conections on the chassis and the engine, make sure they have clean and a solid connection. The correct cable gage is very important.\ as mentioned before. Paul

  10. I bet the "trainer" is related to the electrician we used to have at the shop. He was telling his new helper that you never grab these 2 wires when the power is on........Metal linesman pliers.........aluminum ladder........240 volts............knocked him on the floor. Took me a good week to stop snickering. Soap carving is good with Kirkermans soap.....growing up my mother gave me an "aquired" taste for it.

  11. Try these people, Their near Hunts Point. They rent heavy equipment trailers from 1 ton to 20 tons. I was at H.O. Penn and a customer came in with a small dozer on a Hertz trailer. This was where he got it. Paul

  12. Didn't see the mail yesterday. Worked on truck til 8:30 pm. DID hear a lot of noise from a neighborhood like cheering and such

I believe you can start the seeds in a cut up COLT 45 can. Tire gardens are poular over there. Use a tire from a BUICK WILDCAT.

Can't get a WILDCAT tire ....will a ELECTRA 225 tire work?

  13. There were two small cu.in. Diesels Mack used in the R400 & the MB 400 one was a mack END 465 & a END 475 the 475 I think was the Scania built motor the other was a Mack built, the one I saw looked like a mini 673 with a rotor style inj. pump

    BULLHUSK

The same one as on the J Deere 404 diesel.
