  1. boy,,looks like someone helped themselves,,sorry bout your involuntary vacation,,,too bad polititions dont need to do that,,would save us some good money.bob

I took 1/2 as vacation so only lost 1 weeks pay.....

Most of the pieces from the the cabinets was used in the Nike Ajax or Nike Hercules sites that were all over Long Island or scrapped as being obsolete. Paul

  2. I never even thought to see if the Jersey plant was still there, I think that 1325 is the part of the original SAUER trucks building with the stone International Motors logos, that's what is on the ABs, ACs and AKs. The Manhattan plant was torn down in 1946 and the Astoria plant was / is Swingline Staplers by the el. The LI City plant is part of the NYC FD truck garage on the western service road of the LIE. Paul

  3. Since I got a forced 2 weeks off becuase of the economy , we went back to Camp Hero to see more of "Robs Radar". Got a tour of the inside of the tower and the array (it's steel!). I definatly need one to grill on.....:) Heres some pics the last 2 are photos of photos, I took over 60 more. I joined the volenteer group to help set it up as a museum, mainly so I can crawl all over it. Paul

  4. This made out of the country stuff is unbelievable!! I was reading last night an article by Don Prudome the Drag racer from the 60s / 80s. He was talking about how he is now into Indy cars and the he's leased one of his shops to Penski racing to work on their Indy cars. He stated that there is no engine building or repairs on the Indy engines. Under Indy Car rules the engines all go back to Honda in Japan for repairs and rebuilds! Even something as an American Icon as Indy racing, we rely on foreigners to maintain it..

I got a few trinkets for my 41 chevy cabriolet from chevs of the 40's. sent them back to them. The box said engineered and packaged in the US.A. in large letters and made in China in micro letters. I'll search Hersey for oem stuff.

Bout time to dump the EPA, the Enviro nuts and the DEC and get back to the business of being the country everybody copies instead of laughs at. I want to be the ugly American not the poor stupid American. Paul

  5. Sure hope they get caught!

A while back a house up the street was bought by a young couple. They introduced themselves and told us of the renovation plans. A day later a rack truck pulls up, puts out a sign for their home renovations company. They removed the aluminum siding, the cooper plumbing and most all of the wiring. Nobody paid any attendion to it, til the real owner showed up a week later, because the town issued a violation for no permits. This group apparently did this all over the area. I hate crooks, they are the lowest ! Hope you get justice!!! Paul

  6. I'd say someone parked her in the bush some time ago. Makes you wonder what's hurt or if they just gave up?

I see quite a few like that on the eastern end of the island, parked with the trailer, overgrown. Kind of like they shut it down and just never got to came back. Always wonder why. Paul

  7. I think the HNIC summed it all up in modays speech,"the deficite is GWB s fault and he is just a wage slave like all the common people" Heres the way I see it. :thumb:

Social security is not an entitlement, if you didn't pay into it you don't get it PERIOD!

Stop helping the "undocument imirgrants...THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY! SEND THEM HOME OR TO A REAL JAIL.

If it's made in the USA and you import a copy from Asia....put a tax on the copy to level the playing field.

Stop hampering the economy with the EPA and Port making "laws" with out common sense. Stop putting fish and lizards ahead of people. If an "endanger species" costs jobs than the species had better kick it to the economy

Live with in your means. Can't afford it than don't get it, I have to live that way.

Don't tell me I have to drive a roller skate that gets 40 mpg and than use Air Force 1 to fly mac and cheese to Spain for your daughter to eat .

Electric cars and trucks are green? Where does the energy come from? the Electron Fairie? Coal, Oil, Natural Gas and Nuclear. Let us use it to creat jobs and compete in the market.

Dump the IRS and creat a national sales tax...everybody pays it.

    Nuff said.....Paul

  9. Parkour is actually a sport. More popular in Europe but is here in the US too. Its very disciplined as the athletes must be in tip top shape and think quickly to overcome the obstacle. I believe there are competitions where the athletes win prize money. Another similar sport is free running which uses parkour but adds more fancy stunts and moves. Its pretty wild to watch.

I hear it started in Ethiopa or Kenya, with the natives trying to beat the chickens to their food.........

  10. New state park at Montuak Long island. It's an ex WWII to the end of the Cod War era base with a pair of double 16'' navel gun emplacement from WWII and aNorad Radar from the50s / 60s. Oh and a large area of unexploded ordinance. Mamma wouldn't go in there for some reason. we went there to go Stripped Bass fishing.....got none. Paul

  11. thats a no shiter

Heres some more obammy manouvering behind the scenes.

A preparatory committee at the United Nations concluded a series of meetings this week on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). This is the third and final round of meetings on the ATT, as the UN gears up for final negotiations in 2012.

The most comprehensive treaty of its kind, the ATT would regulate weapons trade throughout the world on everything from battleships to bullets. Though negotiations will continue for another year, some provisions are certain to be contained in the final draft.

The ATT will, at the very least, require gun owner registration and microstamping of ammunition. And it will define manufacturing so broadly that any gun owner who adds so much as a scope or changes a stock on a firearm would be required to obtain a manufacturing license.

It would also likely include a ban on many semi-automatic firearms (i.e., the Clinton gun ban) and demand the mandatory destruction of surplus ammo and confiscated firearms.

Negotiators, from abroad and within the Obama administration, view arms control as protecting human rights, rather than seeing civilian disarmament for what it is -- the favorite tool of despots, dictators and tyrants to maintain power by engaging in mass murder and genocide.
