  1. yes it will run on one or the other... if you unplug one and it shuts off... the other one is bad...... 2 sensors.. one on the right front for the cam, and one on the left at around 10 o'clock on the flywheel housing..
  2. Glenn,,, I love the E-7,, But I also gained a respect for the E-tech.. Especially after the ASET's came out.... and then the MP came about, and well....... Give me an E-Tech any day... Jojo
  3. Now that is my quick take on the E-Tech... CCRS and ASET, Piss me off !!! especially the ASET-C...
  4. ok, I'll bite.... Weak eng. brake/ rocker shaft bolts/ fuel pump gear/ terrible bosch lifters/ slow throttle response/ early fuel pressure issues/ 9-2 codes/ oil weeping between the block and the flywheel housing/ coolant in the ECU harness/ ..... ok... I need to take some more time to think of more.... Hmmm?? jojo
  5. so what??? Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong.. I have an open mind...
  6. they solved it with a hex headed spindle and the same fancy plastic gear... Didnt make it perfect.. easy to fix, and does NOT require a laptop... Next??
  7. the sensor test can be done buy wiggling the wires while its running to see if it cuts out.. you can also unplug one at a time to see if it cuts out.. un plug one, if it stays running, plug it back in, then go to the other one and do the same.. Yes it will throw codes.. but at leaste you know what they are.. you can check codes before you do this test just to see whats logged..
  8. So What aspects of the E-Tech would you pick out? Keep in mind the era's of that engine..
  9. 60-80
  10. Holy crap... I am currently trying to change my status from part time, to full time. If that happens, I get paid time off on 'Day One' plus other bennie's..

  14. I always liked to look out over the valley when I drove through there in a Big Truck... jojo
  15. fuel pressure can cause a cutout, but I would expect a weakening or a slow death,, I think he said it picks back up.... so,, you may very well be right.. definately check fuel pressure during the test runs... jojo
  16. Holy crap .... What a great Idea... Onyx.. you should help Mark out.. I really wanted to do it, but I got busy, then a new job.. He has everything you need.. ya'll should PM about it.. 🍻
  17. Mark, I have tried to work for companies a few times while keeping my repair service going.. I had a hard time... Part of it was Me' because I knew how to do the work, but had to conform... I butted heads with quite a few guy's, and even trained my boss's a few times.. But..... I just started working for My City, and I really like it.. It is all together different work, and our 12 man crew is like a family of brothers.. I guess I got lucky this time.. jojo

  25. as far as EUP issues, are you getting any 8-? codes?? the big ground bolt in front of the starter is crucial.. it needs to be clean and tight.. Please do not use ether to start the engine.. Have you done any fuel system repairs? Have you tried to re-prime the fuel lines by loosening them at the head and pumping the hand pump to relieve the air? I'm just spewing now... I want to help you as do many others here. we need more info, try to keep it on point and accurate.. There are soooo many smart guys here, it would blow your mind.. jojo
